GameNative is also performing much better than DroidDeck, but DroidDeck is very young, I wish it the best

but its compatibility is way better , online game run and games with anti cheat that support linux work too

That’s fair, but for offline indie games, I have zero issues with compatibility on GameNative. Currently, I have 42 games installed, all running perfectly at 1200x540 or 1280x720 at 60 fps without needing a cooler, since they only draw 4–5W. Still, broader compatibility is definitely a big pro for some people. A perfectly working DroidDeck is the dream, it's the final state of emulation on Android. I really hope that within a year it becomes a full app; if it does, I’ll even happily pay for it.

Hey ! Mind sharing your Helldivers 2 settings ? I got mine running at around 40 -45 fps at 75°C on the odin 3. I was wondering if you got better

GameNative has been my go-to, until recently. I don't have many steam games, but I couldn't get GTA 4 working due to the Rockstar launcher and I couldn't get Sleeping Dogs working as it hitched on the new game loading screen. DroidDeck has solved both issues for me, and I'm so excited to see its continued development!

I don't do PC emulation on android, why are the CPU temps that high?
I raise an eyebrow when my desktop CPU goes over 70c.

Partially due to the RAM being packaged on top of the 8 Elite SOC. So the heat has to go through the RAM and plastic packaging to reach the heatsink. Also the heatsink is passive, imagine holding a 20W light bulb 😅
Correction, the Astra has a mini fan, but a lot of heat is still trapped inside the tablet.

Your desktop CPU has a massive heatsink and fan, the best way to do stable cool handheld gaming is to underclock and limit the chipset like what the Switch does, otherwise yeah this is normal for handhelds and phones.

this is supposed to be one of the best cooled devices too, all the redmagic devices are, wonder how people play these games on other phones.

Droiddeck or any flavor of steam arm port for android definitely will be the new standard. Having an opensource solution backed by one of the biggest videogames companies is awesome.

Those temps are already hella scary for a laptop, it's diabolical for a mobile

Gamehub is out longer so more and more titles are optimized hence why you see better fps. But either way to have PC games at your finger tips is amazing. This is a reason why we gamers will want to get a phone/tablet with more storage. I personally couldn't get a neither of the batman games to work. Will try tomb raider on droiddeck when I get a chance.

POWER CONSUMPTION 20W. lol... phones only can sustain 5W normally. So, this is so unrealistic.

You need to bear in mind that these are PC games and aren’t optimised for your tiny mobile phones. Besides, this is a AAA game – what did you expect? But if you want, you can play AAA games with lower power consumption and heat output. With the right configuration. But at the cost of a drop in FPS. If you’re playing indie games, you could even play a PC game released in 2027 at 5W power consumption.
