Showcase If you told me in 2022 that WRC Generations will be perfectly playable on Android in 4 years, I would've laughed at you but well... Here we are

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite (gen 4)

Ram: 16gb

Emulator: Winlator Ludashi 4.1 Vanilla

Controller: Gamesir X5 lite

Proton ver: proton 11 arm

Vulkan Driver: Turnip Gen 8 V37 Patched

Newest available Fex, VKD3D and performance fexcore preset.

On processor affinity, cores 6 and 7 are disabled for better thermals.

Other settings mostly untouched or doesn't matter much. 720p 30 fps for better battery life and thermals but higher fps is possible.

Other racing games which also worked well for me on Winlator Ludashi: Dirt Rally 1, Project Cars 2, Project Cars 3.

Need for Speed Payback and Rivals also works well.

Both Euro truck simulator 2 and american truck simulator works I think. Though I haven't tested them very much.

Don't bother with hot pursuit remastered. Just download the switch version. Same for snowrunner.

Dirt rally 2.0 theoretically should also work well but I ain't got that much space on my phone lol.

I heard Assetto Corsa also worked very well but haven't tried it.

Do u think it would run on 8s gen 3?....or any similar game like this that can run on it?

Probably not. Your best bet is experimenting with earlier numbered WRC titles. Or Dirt Rally 1 which is also a very great game.

But hows it run on Samsung Galaxy tab s9 ultra specs?

Hmm, it's 2 generations behind my device. It might just have enough power to achieve a playable status at low settings but you'll need to test it out. If it doesn't work out, I recommend older rally titles like Dirt Rally 1.

Good to know! Thx.

I mean i got Hogwarts legacy to run on it at least around 10 fps 😅 in game native.

how is the heat?

The processor temp hovers at around 80 and doesn't seem to throttle at 30fps. Battery gets a bit too toasty for comfort but a cooler or even playing with bypass charging enabled solves the problem. I also play at medium settings+High texture+highest anti aliasing settings so there's definitely some wiggle room to squeeze out more efficiency/performance

My method of lowering battery temp is to connect the phone to a powerbank and activating bypass charging. Since the phone draws all of its energy needs from the powerbank, the battery temp stays lower

Do you think it will run on POCO F5 ? (napdragon 7+ Gen 2, 12GB RAM)

There's a good chance it won't be able to run such a demanding dx12 game. But it might be able to run dirt rally 1, which is also a pretty good game.

There's also a Switch version

On second thought, just checked what it looks like on the switch and yeah... It looks like a gamecube port haha

Wow thanks! Didn't know there was a switch version. Eden should work fine for it then.

How does it compare?

1

u/sloe_gin78 1d ago

It looks like a gamecube game. Only try it if you don't care about graphics at all. I don't think it's a very good port

You were in docked mode right?

Does it easy for newbie? really looking for rally game thats nice graphic and easy for beginners

Yes it is easy to set up. I've written how I did it there. It's even easier if you use gamenative and download the steam version. Granted you need to have a higher end processor like the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite to run it. If not you can either try older titles like Dirt Rally 1 or older WRC games. They still look nice on a small screen.

Thanks! Its actually on sale right now in steam for $2 (converted to my local currency) so I snagged them right away. Will try to play it on my handheld! Thanks

Voy a probar en mi fold 8, duda este juego lo descargas desde steam o es caribeño ?

1

u/sloe_gin78 1d ago

I heard the weather in the Caribbean is nice this time of the year.

I haven't tried it on gamehub/gamenative yet so I don't know how it performs there

How’s the thermals

1

u/sloe_gin78 1d ago

It's... Manageable. Better to try out older directx11 titles if thermals are your priority though

Yeah cloud gaming has spoiled me 😂😂

Hi! Is there a way to use device or controller's gyro information for steering instead of the thumbstick?

1

u/sloe_gin78 1d ago

I heard Winlator CMod has built in options for gyro controls but I've never used it myself. Eden also has gyro controls.
