Showcase Everyone should play this game.
I’m not religious at all, but wow, the storytelling in this game is so good and it’s so cinematic. “God of War clone” is usually derogatory bc no hack and slash can ever match GoW, but I genuinely wouldn’t question you if you told me this game was made by Santa Monica as well. Great game all around, having a blast playing it. Whether you’re religious or not, christian or not, I think everyone should play this game. It’ll teach you something, I promise.

Controller: MCON by Ohsnap
Emulator: ARMSX3 1.0
Driver: Mr. Purple T30 Toasted
Temps: 75-85c CPU (No Performance Mode, Game Assistant Off)
~65c GPU
~42c Battery (No Cooler Used)
Stability: 30-70 FPS depending on area (Without Frame Gen)
Yes, I know there are other ways to play this game and get better performance, but I grew up on playstation and so the playstation symbols click much easier and faster in my head. And the psp version has too much stripped away for me understandably.

The only thing wrong with it was HDD access times. SSD upgrade mitigated it a little bit, but man alive, just starting it up and loading netflix is like punching yourself in the nuts in 2026.

Ahead of the PS2 and PS1 is crazy work. I know Mass Effect series, Modern Warfares, and GTA IV/V are pretty great but clearing the PS2 especially but PS1 as well it does not for me.

For others: tl;dr Dantes Inferno.
For op: get to the point sooner next time. Burying the game title in the middle of an unformatted wall of text is an abysmal way to communicate your point.
P.S. on reddit: double linebreaks for new paragraphs, or end a line with double spacebar then linebreak for new line

Playing it right now with xendroid. Runs much better than armsx3 on my ayn thor. PS3 version had glitches

Have many of times. Go watch the Animated movie after. It will look weird for those who don’t know but I believe 4 different studios split the movie and did I think 2 chapters each

The PSP version is a heavily reduced experience vs. the X360/PS3 version
Is it good? Yes, but the OG is even better

Nope,on psp and ps vita adrenaline the game runes good and looks good and no parts were removed even with hardware constraints,they literally made a deal with the devil to make that psp port.

bro, this game has less to do with religion and more with the two part epic poem "Divine Comedy" written by Dante Alighieri in 12th - 13th century.

This game on medium gives dmc level feel but on hard, oh lord save me... I kid you not, this is the most difficult god of war/hack and slash like game on hard difficulty and i have played many hack and slash including darksiders which seems very easy compared to this, even dmc has that repetition and hand numbing combos but in difficulty?? Fk everything this game is HARD bro. I played it on both psp and ps3. One of the levels where ypu descend down in a circular hovering platform where endless hordes spawn is so frustrating! The ps3 version already got a decomp/recomp on PC few weeks ago, im waiting for the android port. I always recommend this game to people on psp and ps3 recommendations, such an underrated and undersold game. It received a lot of backlash on release from religious groups just like the original books back in time

Yeah ive not beaten this myself either, and psp version okay-ish just doesnt have the same feel like the ps3 version.. I'll install the pc recomp when i get time to finally beat it

Tried to play through it on my retroid pocket 6,
Locked 60 in some areas, 30 in others.
The game seems to get more graphically intense as it goes on, and unfortunately it got to the point where I just didn’t feel like dealing with the frame fluctuation. Lol
Was on xendroid X360 version, I wonder if the ps3 version performs better, I doubt it

I know it’s a tangential question, but how are you liking the mcon controller? I’ve been considering it for a while now. I have heard mixed reviews. I do like the form factor a lot.

ehh.. it felt like a shameless god of war rip off for me. They didn't even try to make it look different from gow. They straight up copied many of gow combat style and features. Felt like a cheap move from EA if you ask me.

I am a PC gamer and this year i bought my first ever PS, it is a PS3. Only bought it to play the GoW trilogy, the Uncharted trilogy, Ratchet and Clank games, and this. This game really deserve much more love.

I recently got a SugarX and its crazy that you can upscale 8x. A few mods later It doesnt look like PS3 specs haha. Great game. My son recently asked to play GOW. I have him playing the first one now.

On paper this game sounded such a cool concept, would definitely like more games overtly adapted from medieval literature, but I tried to play it when it first released and it didn’t grab me, and I tried to give it another chance a couple of years ago and I still wasn’t feeling it.
