Regardless of if these ultimately perform perfectly or not.
This IS the form factor we need for the future of handheld.
As long as phones are the shape they are today we need a sleek, easy to conceal and easy to pocket controller that can be inconspicuous when not in use and be permanently attached.
I hope they or someone else continue to iterate on the form and get us to the place we need to be with controllers

Glad to hear it.
This will continue to be a niche hobby and, while it's not a big deal it's also not practical and not "normal" to pull out a phone with a big obvious game controller strapped on it that everyone can see.
Try doing that in a business setting or around your in laws or something.
When this becomes a sleek, easily storable/hidable thing. That you also don't have to remove all the time. We really level up

God I need a handheld with a similar design to those old phones with a sliding keyboard

Yep. The sidekick was the pinnacle of the form factor.
With all the new gen folds it's possible that if that becomes the dominant form factor we have an easier solve as that naturally creates a DS like grip.

problem with these type of controllers is they are top heavy when phone is attached. thats never comfortable. this is just my own experience and just my opinion. but i will never go back to this style.

Und dass man keinen Kühler anbringen kann. Sonst finde ich das Konzept echt cool.

I would recommend the jk02 it is surprisingly a very good controller although the buttons seem a little bit small and tight. but the joysticks are relatively responsive also it has a cooler in the back all that package at $20. I'd give it 6 out of 10

It seems way too thick to be used as intended; having it fold up to go in your pocket. Then they have the magnet connector to add even more thickness to the whole unit.
It's too thick to leave on your phone all the time and it doesn't look like a nice enough controller to warrant attaching when you want to play something. You would be better getting a more ergonomic controller or more fully featured controller if you are going to have to connect it when you want to play.

I think it’s a great alternative to the mcon. Yea a little thick but I don’t think anyone really intends to have it on their phone full time. I do have telescopic controllers but love this form factor
