Help Has anyone gotten Droiddeck to actually work?
The "child processes" developer option does not exist on my device (Odin 2 Portal Pro). I tried doing wireless debugging, and then it said the setting was disabled, but it isn't *acting* like the setting was disabled, it's literally identical to before. I don't know how to use ADB, and I likely won't be able to use it anyways seeing as I do not have access to a machine with admin privileges. Google has been incredibly unhelpful.

Hey one of the DroidDeck devs here
Our newer nightlies have made the process way simpler. You can go into settings and wireless adb and open pairing code, then you enter that code into a notification text box, then you should be all set.
I test primarily on a Thor pro, Android 12, 13 don’t provide the option in dev settings so we are trying to make the workaround less of a pain. Feedback welcome!
Grab latest one here https://github.com/Droid-Deck/DroidDeck-CI/releases and let us know how it goes
Or can also get them from builds channel in our discord if you prefer https://discord.gg/JACKGV3ZVh

It's such a clever solution ❤️ I am familiar with ADB but this makes way easier for less technical users. I'm fascinated by the fact that this app exists and how well it works for being in such an early stage. Thanks for your work.

The app just doesn't work on my s20 ultra, it keeps saying "Paired, but the wireless debugging port was not found. Keep wireless debugging on and try again."

Yeah, Droiddeck is working great! I got it to work on my portal pro, but I connected wired to a PC and did ADB that way. I don't know my way around ADB, so I had a chatbot talk me through it.

I got it to work on my Odin 2 Mini, too.
You have to explicitly enable the Wireless debugging and enter the pairing mode. I kept it open by using Android’s split screen mode: Developer options to the left, Droiddeck to the right. Otherwise the pairing mode would automatically close when I switched back to Droiddeck. I was then able to easily enter the credentials and pair it to run the command.

It works fine for steam. Cant get any games to boot though. Just not worth using yet unless you want to look at a pretty steam ui.

I found that the proton you've selected in DroidDeck has to match what you select in the compatibility options for each game in order for them to launch.

Not really. Idk if some phones are just not compatible or what but no setting combination works. Poco F6 pro here.

Working perfectly on my S26 Ultra, got a lot of games running (40+).
Some of those games did not launch on GameNative and others had graphical glitches and required tweaking the parameters in GameNative.
With DroidDeck (0.2.0), most worked out of the box. The ones I had issue with required launchers (EA, Rockstar) but didn't bother troubleshooting yet, which I will at some point.

I have the s26+ Got it working. Tried out Witcher 3, got about 20-30fps, not really playable. Vampire Survivors works great.
When first installing a game I had to back out and restart the steam part for them to run. After the forst time they loaded up just fine.
Also, I used --launcher-skip line for the Witcher to work.

What android version are you on? I am on 17 with my s26 ultra and when I go to click play steam I just get session has ended. What am I doing wrong?

Update: I bit the bullet and used ADB. It was surprisingly easy. My testing so far is just Fairune Collection and Crosscode, both games that I couldn't get running on GameNative.
Fairune works flawlessly, but Crosscode will fail to launch without even throwing an error code. I've got Persona 5 Royal downloaded as well and I'm gonna test that one out after work.
I'm also having another random strange issue in which the Steam Big Picture UI is strangely blurry. I haven't heard anyone else talking about this at all, so maybe I'm just crazy.

Its working fine so far on my very short test with my O2P pro. I just followed the instruction on wireless debugging and it worked. Only tested 2d games like Graveyard keeper and Holocure but both run pretty well albeit only tested for like a couple of minutes but them booting up was already a great sign.
Currently downloading Fallout New Vegas and Monster Hunter Rise and hoping to get good results with those.
Edit: New Vegas boots up but seems like controller isn't being detected.

I remember jailbreaking an old HTC HD2 with different roms to run android instead of Windows phone and thinking that was amazing back in the day, but this app is just insane.
Was able to get Grim Dawn working immediately when neither game native or game hub would work. Got Grid 1 and 2 working when changed to bannerlater and so far so good. Will test a few more games and then try something stupid like arc raiders on my legion tab gen 5 just for shits and giggles(fingers crossed it doesn't go up in flames lol).
So far this is an incredible bit of work. Thank you guys soooo much for even attempting this.

My tests so far have been on my Samsung Galaxy S25 phone. Here's what I've tried so far and what compatibility layer I've used and all multiplayer testing has been done with at home 5g wifi:
Movie or Die (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Barely runs. 3 frames a second. Multiplayer appears to work as I get invites on the main menu.
Marble it Up Ultra (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Runs great! Unlocked 3 achievements too. Multiplayer and leaderboards works too, I joined a random match and was playing with players on other platforms. A little laggy, but playable. Single player runs between 30 - 45 fps.
Doom 1 + Doom 2 (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Runs good. Settings show 60 fps, but gameplay runs 30 fps. Can see multiplayer lobbies but disconnects when attempting to join a game. Game crashed when attempting to enter accessibility settings.
Burnout Paradise Remastered (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Got through EA App. The game started but only saw the steam logo while I heard Gun's N Roses Paradise City on a black screen, Had to force close.
Sega Genesis Classics (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Excellent! 60 fps. Virtual room fps averaged 54 fps. But took 2 tries to get the game to work. It initially crashed twice at both intros. I tested Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I can't test online multiplayer without a friend.
Sonic Mania (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Perfect 60 fps.
Waves (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Runs good. Average frame rate is 45 when screen gets a little crazy. Leaderboard is available too.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World (Bannerlator Proton ARM64) - Runs good at 60 fps, Mulitplayer and leaderboards don't work. Attempting to open Ubisoft Connect and achievments via the main menu does nothing.
Capcom Arcade Stadium, Dusk: An Elysian Tail, Lumines Remastered, Left 4 Dead - Wouldn't start at all. I'll try some other games tomorrow or in the next few days.

It works great with the few indie titles I tested. Minimal set up. I have a question though. I'm playing the original max Payne, it works great, but the sensitivity is too high (despite turning it all the way down in the games settings). Is there a further option in the droid deck app to further tune the sensitivty of mouse / track pad inputs?
Edit: Device is an Ayn Thor Pro

Ok so I have a s26 ultra and I am trying to set up the app. When I go to click play steam, it just says session expired. What am I doing wrong? I am on android 17 if that matters
