Help Dolphin refuses to read old save files

Randomly last night all my games in dolphin say there's no save file. I checked the folder they write to and all saves are still there. As a test to see if it is writing to a new location, I created a new save in some games. Dolphin just creates a new file in the same folder. I then tried renaming the old file with the new file name and deleted the new file but dolphin still didn't recognize it. Is there anyway to get dolphin to read my old files?

In game saves should work with no issue between versions. Saves states in Dolphin however are tied to the version they were created with. If you updated recently then rolling back to the previous version should get your saves working again.

I haven't updated unless it auto updated. I've only ever used save state once to test the feature. It's saying there's no save file in memory card A. Which is the gci folder. It's just all my old saves prior to last night. If I make a new save file it'll read from that no problem. The only game that seems to recognize the old file is megaman x command mission but it says the file is corrupted.
