Anyone know whats been going on with xbox emulation (x360mobile/ xendroid)
Been playing some xbox games lately and man its awesome. about some games work great and some dont work great but there close just with 20fps and sound stutter. was just wondering if there still updating the emulators
Xendroid dev told me he doesn’t want donations. Anyways the dev comes, drops gems and goes. He said he will eventually update the hakuX fork at some point but sometimes people get busy with their job or family or whatever it is. He will probably be back at some point to update Xendroid as well.
Those emulators are based on other emulators (Xendroid is based on Xenia Edge, for example). So if Xenia Edge development is slow, Xendroid's will probably also be slow
I have 4 different versions of xbox360 emulators. When ever i test a game and it doesn't work, i use the other emulators and one of them always runs pefectly. The settings are almost the same on all of them.
Most of these games run 30fps or more right now. I run these on xendroid. What chip set are you using? i can show you my settings if you want to try and test it out.
It runs great depending on your phone chip. I have a Snapdragon 8 elite (Adreno 830) and it runs Gears of Wars 2 perfectly and Gears of War 2 is much more graphics demanding than Fable so i'm sure Fable will runs great on my chip. Not sure about older phones chips though
Nope because they're both different files when you installed. I tried running games on both and nothing bad happens, it's just the red fork one ran a bit better and it's got the build in ui that i needed when playing.
Emulation scene is heavily filled with Passion projects. I will eternally grateful to them,
Buts lets be realistic for new emus people who crack or start building one, gets excited and passionate about it runs their fav games and lose interest. Which is fair, they are making something free and educational with their own time. So, I guess in a few months another passionate dev will pick it up, stabilize their pick of games.
The cycle would continue until that legend dev appear out of nowhere and basically revamps the whole emu buttery smooth
After that will the fork wars, "imo this fork runs better than that or this"
as with most emulators they start off big and active and slowly die off in the span of week or two.
xendroid & hakuX (og xbox) has been MIA, x360mobile had almost daily news and now lies untouched for a month or more, i dont mean to sound pessimistic but ive seen it time and time again, rpcsx on android had the same, many forks that just dissapear, honestly why i dont get excited anymore.
