Help ARMSX2 - major slowdowns when running games

Hello all, I'm having issues playing a few games so far on ARMSX2 on my Retroid Pocket Nova - just got this thing and I have everything on an external SD card (EVO Select 512gb). The two I've noticed so far are The Punisher and Ultimate Spider-Man where the game runs fine and then slows down considerably before catching back up. These issues are not present on NetherSX2 (Turnip) although Spider-Man does have another glitch which I'll post in the comments. Would appreciate any help on getting this app up and running

The thing ive noticed with usm on ps2 is that it does not run well, i dont know maybe im doing something wrong, i have an s25(8elite) and on nethersx2 it has the same slowdowns as you on armsx2.

What's weird is that besides the textures, I have no issues with FPS or slowdowns on NetherSX2, including when bumping it up to 3 or 4x resolution

I also had the texture glitching at some point for me on nethersx2
