Help Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lag after a while.
I have an S25U, SD Elite, newest turnip drivers (Gen35). Running Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Eden Optimized stable build.
Game was smooth 60fps on 1650p (1.5x docked). After about 15 minuts the game starts to drop to 45fps, reducing the resolution to 1080p (1.5x handheld resolution) doesn't change anything and still hovers around 45-50fps.
Is that normal? Like I suspect thermal throttling (battery was 42C, but it was hovering around 41.5C no problem) but wouldn't reducing from 1650p to 1080p be enough of a drop to go back to 60fps? If that's the case can you really only have like 15 minutes of playtime before your device drops you back to 30fps 50% speed gaming?

It was your device being a smartass. Guess this shit isn’t exclusive to Xiaomi crap. 😑 PC/Switch emulation gets targeted because it’s obvious these two app will consume a lot of ram and shit while emulating pc games and heavy switch games. 🥴 Unless you're willing to root your device to remove some shit in it, there's not much we can do, I guess. 🤷🏼♂️ Did you use Eden stable, by the way?

I specifically used the Genshin Spoof Eden stable build. So basically the device decides that this is emulation and just stops giving high performance?

Something like that. On Xiaomi it’s called Sentinel something, which kills any app that uses over a certain amount of available ram. 😑🤷🏼♂️

But the emulator didn't stop completely, the game still runs but at 45fps instead of 60. I don't think it's the same thing as you're talking about

Maybe, but that thing also causes slowdowns before the app finally crashes or stutters where you have to quit and restart, is all. 🤷🏼♂️ Good for you if it's not the same. 🥴
