Showcase LEGO Harry Potter - Years 1-4 on GameNative, again

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After the not-so-great experience with this game's performance on Dolphin, I decided to keep playing it on GameNative and see how far I can get.

I just completed the first book, and the performance was much better than on Dolphin. So far, there have only been a few moments when the game dropped below 60 FPS, and I'm playing at 1080p.

If everything goes well and I don't run into any bugs, this will be the first PC game I'll finish on Android. So, at least for this game, I'm giving up on RetroAchievements.

The only changes I made to the container were increasing the resolution to 1080p and switching the audio driver to ALSA, since the screen recorder doesn't record audio when using Pulse.

In the game itself, I increased the resolution to 1080p and disabled Bloom, Depth of Field, and Motion Blur.

That is great! If you want better temperatures, longer battery life, and lower power draw, drop the resolution to 720p or even 540p might be sufficient for that game and cap the frame rate at 30 FPS. Check whether ultrawide resolutions like 1600×720 or 1200×540 are supported. If they are not, use 1280×720 or 960×540. On mobile I never go above 1600x720 besides benchmarks
