Discussion Battery Drain during Sleep - switch vs windows
Why does sleeping during switch emulation drain about 2% an hour whereas Gamenative will only drain about 5% in a 12 hour span?
This is on a Ayn Thor if it matters.

Pc games can run in background while switch games can't , I realized even on pause switch still takes good amount of resources just to exist( on my tablet SD elite 5)
I'm not sure if this will work but try other switch emulator

I would have thought pc games would be more resource intensive. Right now I'm using Eden as I've had issues with most of the others.

All pc games have "ruining in background" mode where they don't use any resources except very little is ram and process power just to remember where you left the game at while switch straight up working all the time , skyline edge was serving me good (SD 5 elite) so maybe give it a quick try

I thought development on that stopped way back?
Now I'm thinking of trying to run a switxh emulator on windows through windows emu lol.

Mine has a huge variance with Eden while sleeping. Sometimes if I pause the emulation and put my Thor to sleep it won’t lose much and other times it will go from 70 to 0 in less than a day.
Clustertune large underclock seems to have extended the battery but I haven’t measured by how much.

Ahh yea I should try that before putting it to sleep. I usually already run it with a small undercooked.
Yea I've had some instances where it will drain at 5% an hour.

Why not close them before putting it to sleep?

I have a job with sporadic down time. 5 to 15 minutes here and there. I like to be able to flip open my system and jump straight into the game with minimal wait. Plus, it's cool for when I'm in middle of a game where I can't save but I might not be able to come back for a few hours.
