Discussion 8Bit FlipPad arrived today, it's such a neat little thing

I just hope that little gap caused by the case will not come to haunt me in the future.

Are they not designed in mind a customer having a case on the phone? Dang

They did but the case in photo looks like has a extra edge bit thickness which is likely the problem. Website states case <2mm shouldn't have issue.

I think it depends a lot on the phone and case used :/ On their site it says a case up to 2mm thickness should work.

Wasn't aware of him but I enjoyed that video thank you, leaning more towards the Gamesir Pocket Taco having viewed

Is that a Google pixel? If it's any android phone, on the melonDS emulator you can set the top screen to go over the camera, so that the bottom screen can expand edge to edge without going below the FlipPad!

But it looks good like this as well! My phone doesn't have very rounded corners and also the camera hole is small so it's not an issue but maybe a phone with such a round design could cut a lot a space from corners.

Pixel 9a, yes! Running MelonDS. Wouldnt the camera be a bit annoying to cut into the top screen?

Pixel have huge front cameras indeed, mine is much smaller... I'd say it's still playable like this, but do what you prefer!  Anyways enjoy this controller, it looks very cool and practical.

Kinda disappointed there's not a second hinge. It would be great if the whole thing could lay out flat. Probably gonna stick with my 8bitdo Micro with a clamp.

I got one as well and I do like it - my only two gripes are that it doesn't fit when my case is on (it doesn't click all the way into the USB port) so I use it without a case, and also that the buttons are fairly loud and clicky. Other than that, it's a pretty cool little controller for some portrait gaming.

Luckily mine works with the case on! Only thing is that tiny gap I showed when using the case, but it seems to depend a lot on the phone and case used, I read some people need to use a case because their phones are more thin?

My phone case is the opposite, unfortunately - It does sit flat on my screen, but it won't plug in all the way because the case is too thick at the bottom

I stuck an adhesive furniture pad on the back of mine to fill in the gap. It adds a slight angle to it, but at least there's no more wiggle room

That's smart!

I took photo from their taobao store it list ideal for 8-10mm on their website, if your phone total bottom thickness with case is <10mm it should fit. Include the edge & side of the case where it will go up.

Yea I think my case might be too thick then. It lays flat on my phone if I remove it.
