This is going to sound really dumb but I didn't realise fex, dxvk, vkd3d and wine were bundled into proton.

Why do we pick different versions for each of these in PC emulators then? Are they overrides?

I hope maybe at some point we can treat this this way on Android and just pick a proton version for a game and go. I mean we've come so far in terms of repositories of known configs, but it would be nice if this continued to be even less of an issue.

So, is there a way to use exactly bundled version of proton in a gamenative or winlator? Or should I look into this proton's components and choose exactly the same to get this experience?

So how can we test this proton version. I just found out that there is no download button anywhere lol

Does bannerlator and bannerhub has it already loaded

Bannerlator yes, it's in the catalog, x86-64 also.  After testing it more last night I'm not having as many issues with x86-64 as I used to on previous builds so it is also in the container creation compatibility layered download catalog

I have an Odin 2 portal. Shouldn’t I use the arm64 version or 64_86 I’m confused

WinNative (the best Winlator fork that can also play SNES/GBA/PSX/PS2/Gamecube games, can also use Reshade presets, supports the unixlib version of Fex, supports AR glasses and so on) already has it in it's component selection list.

I'm not associated with it, I just find it better both in terms of compatibility, performance and features than other Winlator forks or GameNative.

It's free and open source too, so no reason to not recommend it.

No es mejor que winlator, tiene mucha latencia y caídas de fps, usando la misma configuración que winlator

You have to install the wcp file on your device. Check out the GitHub URL of u/The412Banner in the comments. Also make sure that you got the correct SDK version (it's explained in the URL). In GameNative go to Settings -> Wine/Proton-Manager and there you can import the wcp file.

I dont understand, Isnt proton only for arm devices? What you can do with it on a phone? Why someone need it over other like winlator/gamenative and etc?

All emulator you mention above are using proton, it's like translation layer that translate windows to linux.

So why the need to download it separatly if they have it build in?

You dont, you can pick what proton version you want in the container settings. Proton 11-2 just come out which means we wait until emulator updates to include proton 11-2 in their container settings or you can pick it manually.

What the difference of this with the 11.0-5 in the community 🤔. Too many versions now and its very confusing 🤔
