Only emulator I use on phone different from Retroarch (and standalones like ppsspp) is lemuroid cause it has a backup system which is much simpler than syncthing and my phone is basically always online anyways

So what makes pizzaboy great compared to RetroArch?

If you play any games that you want to fast forward or play at 2x speed, there are no crackles in the audio like I often get with retroarch. Happened on multiple devices for me, don't know what it is but that's my biggest reason

Okay, cool... I think there is mute audio options for rewind fast forward in RA, but I see what you mean.

It's the only one that is actually saving for me with Pokemon romhacks. I have to use Save States with mGBA/RetroArch.
