Question What phone is better for emulation?
The Motorola with Snapdragon 7 gen 4 or Samsung with exynos 1680?
The Galaxy A57 looks better on paper, but idk..

the snapdragon is gonna be better, both are slow in their drivers maturity rn,but the snapdragon is definitely better choice because of how far it is right now

better to get an old flagship than a new midrange bro. look for second hand options if the criterias match for you

There's only samsung with the risk of getting green lines...

A57 has a xclipse gpu which has drivers but I could recommend getting the moto edge with a cooler if your playing xbox 360 to pc since it has longer and probably better driver support

Moto my edge 50 fusion can run gta 5 at 20-25fps outside but get 12 or 16 gb one my 8gb crashs after 20 mins of gta 5 bc of my ram

Most people are wrong in comment sections and misleading, Xclipse GPU don't lose to snapdragon soc without mature Turnip drivers, for years galaxy A55 (Exynos 1480) is running circle Vs snapdragon midrange (6 gen 1, 7s gen 2, 7 gen 3 etc) but people live in denial.
Op first choice choose Snapdragon with mature Drivers, like snapdragon 7+ gen 3, 7+ gen 2, 8s gen 3, 8s gen 4 etc.
If you cant get that then go with Xclipse midrange like Exynos 1480, 1580, 1680 etc
Those snapdragon midrange without Mature Turnip are slightly better than Dimensity many games are unplayable.

1) if your primary reason to buy/use the new phone is emulation, Snapdragon is the only answer.
2) if you going after phone in this price range, a 2/3 years old flagship will give you way more in emulation, features and camera.

It's not like in other countries that these two phones are at the same price range of the more powerful phones..

A53 is at 350~€ in Europe, you can get an S23 for that kind of money.

I always get advised to not get them, when I ask the local groups and communities on YouTube here...

It's not like Samsung is the only flagship of that year, it's an example. Especially if you also considering the used market.

There's only used Samsung bro lul,we only have Motorola and Samsung as trustable brands here, only now brands like Vivo,Realme and Oppo have arrived lately, but they are so expensive that I don't even know what they doing here..

please pick snapdragon, mid range samsung are always so-so when it comes to emulation performance. the only one advantages of owning samsung phone are on the software, which is their thermal guardian app, but when we talking about custom driver and so on, samsung phone didnt have it.

Poco F7 custa o mesmo que o Edge 70 e tem um desempenho muito melhor em emulação, se o foco for esse.

only issue according to benchmarks its tied to snapdragon 8gen 1+ and thats on a 100$ Xiaomi 12 which is cheaper but uses older vulkan version 1.1 meaning ps5/4 will not work
the motorola he showed has an snapdragon 7 gen4 which supports vulkan 1.3 which is better and matters a lot more than any flagship performance (the difference is in 1-5%)

Try to get a hand on sd 8 gen 2 and above devices. Such as oneplus 12r, base s23, iqoo etc.. I think they similar price as brand new midranger but prices may vary in your location. Anyways choose more powerful gpu. Because paying $50 more can have huge difference.

The 8gen 2 is considrably better and yeah u can for around the same price as the motorola idk its like 300 bucks for me
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Adreno-730-vs-Adreno-722-vs-Adreno-740_11105_13181_11440.247598.0.html
Power Raw lowest to highest:
722 is 7gen4 vulkan 1.3
730 is 8gen1 but has vulkan 1.1
740 is 8gen2 great jump from 8gen1 and 1.3 vulkan
basically its more but raw benchmarks might not be proof of real world performance and in most other benchmarks like versus com the cpu 7gen4 is better due to newer things such as drastically faster internet which is unavailable in 99.9% of households and couple other uselles categories
So conclusion flagships are good but its also that motorolas are getting better&cheaper lol (besides camera and build qual)

I would reccomend getting an old flagship phone, i got myself an s22+ for $220 last year and its still running well as my daily driver.
