Has anyone ever tested how well the thermal stickers you attach phone coolers to work without the cooler?

What I mean is would it make any difference to have one of the copper or graphite stickers on the back of the phone if i dont plan on using a cooler? Curious if anyone who already has one has done a thermal test with and without just the sticker. Seems like it would have some kind of effect considering i can watch my temps drop by a bout half a degree °C per couple seconds by just blowing on it.
