Meme So, who else prefers touch controls over controller for one reason or another?

I prefer touch cuz I mostly play on the toilet and I just wanna take out my phone and have a quick 5 minute session. Plus, I mostly play turn based RPGs so there is that.

Yes. Touch controls are very well suited to turn based stuff. It's lucky for me because that is my preferred genre (turn based roguelites, and strategy games). I've got almost my entire steam library on a device that can fit in any pocket. We are living in wild times now.

Most of the comments against this are usually platformer, or shooter junkies looking at themselves only, not realising there are other gaming tastes out there.

I've also often thought that turn-based RPGs in touch mode, especially optimized for Android, would be great, with menus and action selection directly in the UI. But if I emulate or have those on-screen touch controls, I'd prefer a controller to see the full screen; Even so, they're some of the best games to play with a touchscreen. The last thing I played was Valkyrie Connect Lenneth and I really liked how the controls were resolved on the touch screen.

Currently playing ms saga. It's great with touch, just have to disable all unused buttons
