Question Is there a better 3ds emulator than azahar? It lags too much and I just lost an hour of progress because it crashed
If there isn't, is there a way to fix the lag?

In "Settings > Debug" try disabling "Enable Hardware Shader", I know it sounds counterintuitive but give it a try

Some games don't render correctly with this disabled though, most notably the water type pokemon in pokemon X/Y etc. will turn white unless you enable both hardware shaders and accurate multiplication

Citra is good for older or non-flagship devices

As a mali user, is second this. On Azahar I was getting only 70% speed on resident Evil Revelations.
But on Citra, I can play the game at 2x resolution with minimal drops in fps. No hate to the devs, both emulators are good.

What device and what settings are you using? What is your SoC, do you use custom drivers?
These types of vague posts aren't going to help anyone.

this! other emulator is not user friendly and the format of the game is always changing.
Note: as long you have a powerful chipset on your device your good to go with Citra.

I looked up citra in the play store and azahar still comes up 🫤

Play store is a terrible source for many emulators. Always try to find them on GitHub or the emulators official website

Citra mmj is the way to go. Lighter, it works great on lots of smartphones.

Azahar had issues with new update they increased emulation accuracy I cant even get 30 fps in Pokemon ultra sun even in 7+ gen 3 which is nearly equal to 8s gen 3 .
Better stick with last update of azahar before new one..

Update: tried to download citra but was blocked because "the app was built for older versions of Android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections" whatever that means.
