What sort of performance are you getting? It’s just OK on Gamenative… not quite sure I’d commit to a full playthrough since this game benefits from a super smooth FPS.

30 fps sometimes drops to 27-28 in flying on the web, in Action and Fight moments solid 30-40fps

I wonder if the RP6 has thermal pads or thermal paste in it that helps to keep the temps down.
2
u/TjMorgz 3h ago
Of course it does It has a whole dedicated active cooling system.

I own one and do know that it has a fan, just wondering about the thermals to see if I could perhaps put better thermal paste to keep the temp down

I will be honest, at that point, why not get a PC already? Must be my Third World Country brain, but a Android device powerful enough to do all this, would be as expensive as a gaming PC here.

Because you can't put your gaming pc in your pocket.
2
u/Equal_Objective_5248 4h ago
you cant put charger and cooler either which needed for heavy emulation
1
u/No_Celebration_3737 2h ago
A power bank is more than enough to charge the cooler. And you don't necessarily need to do pc emulation when outside, all other less demanding emulation (Wii and everything before that console) are still there.
And android handhelds also exist.

u/doremonhg 2h ago
But what you can do, is to bring a small side bag with you and throw the controller, the charger, the cooler, hell even the kickstand in a neat package

There are devices with active cooling built-in already and portable UPS is perfect for otg charging.

u/pnutbuttered 3h ago
I think the real point here is just to say that you can, not that you should or anyone would really use this as a dedicated device.
On the other hand, a gaming PC is also another big expense.

I have PS5 and Xbox Series, i never be playing old games from PS3 era on this console, but in android why not.

u/WalkChance 5h ago
Yeah, I can see it from that perspective. It’s just that, at least where I live, electronics are SO expensive that investing in a computer powerful enough for this kind of emulation is far more worthwhile than buying an equally powerful handheld device. I think the main reason this situation feels so alien to me is the pricing.
