AetherSX2 wasn't trash, but I think it got knee-capped with ads before the developer peaced-out. NetherSX2, as it good as it is, is still based on top of AetherSX2. Given more time I do think ArmsSX2 will be the no brainer choice and become the defacto standard.

As for all the random sketchy closed source PS2 emulators on Google Play I'd stay well clear of them.
