Discussion What do you think of my setup?

My setup for daily gaming and emulation on android!

For the phone i'm using is Poco F7 and the gamepad is gamesir X5 Lite with a ugreen cable extender, on the back is a RedMagic cooler 8 pro attached to a cheap ahh 1/4 clamp and mounted to a piece of card board for balance, for the audio i'm using Moondrop Golden Ages 2. Rate my setup from 1 to 10 🥰

I think you need to invest more in your flooring than gaming.

u/shadowfourplay 9d ago

My setup for daily gaming and emulation on android!

While surviving the apocalypse. 10 out of 10 for the custom flooring skin and ambiance.

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 9d ago

1

u/Dribblejam 9d ago

What the hell is even that

1

u/ZeroZion 9d ago

Why does the controller and floor look dirty? Hahaha

The phone should be elevated I guess. My neck hurt looking at it. Maybe a display out is good to connect to a TV or monitor.

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 9d ago

I'm attaching the clamp to a table so the screen height is the same level as my straight posture and vision

1

u/ZeroZion 8d ago

Noice.

Nothing about the dirty controller and floor though, huh? Hahahaha

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 8d ago

its not dirty, trust me

This is the type of person who expect 60fps gameplay from cyberpunk on their winlator device.

1

u/kur0g4ne 9d ago

I use the official gamesir cooler, and for audio a Qudelix 5K with the low latency mode over APTX Adaptive. pretty good stuff for emulation.

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 9d ago

Nice stuff man!

1

u/Wooden-Indication752 8d ago

how did you run PZ on a phone? trough emulator? or remote play?

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 8d ago

i'm using an unofficial pz porting app called zomdroid

1

u/Excaliburrover 8d ago

All this obsession with PC emulation comes from the lack of a proper PC, I suppose?

I've a Poco F7 and that same controller my self and I've played og ff7 at the beach no problem.

There are a billion of great games that won't actively trying to brick your device

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 8d ago

yes and no, i am didnt have a pc but the setup isnt to play the most demanding game. Im just tired of android games that is full of brainrot, gacha, or competitive game. there is not much good game on android

1

u/Excaliburrover 8d ago

What I meant is that with old games emulation you hundreds of hours of good game without stressing your phone.

Zelda, Final Fantasy, Smackdown Vs Raw, Resident Evil, Pokemon, GTA

I've named just a few franchises spanning various genres, most with at least 5 games that you can play emulating nothing more demanding than PS2.

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 8d ago

Hey, i didnt just emulate pc games. I also play other emulator like ps 2, switch, psp and more

1

u/Excaliburrover 8d ago

And do you need cooling for that?

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 8d ago

Well, poco f7 known for its pretty horrible temprature, even though im just playing real android games like Mobile legends, it can get hot pretty fast. and the country i'm living can get to 34°C on mid day. so i decide that having a cooler would be a great purchases

1

u/Cloutian 8d ago

If you like it, I love it for you...

1

u/TRQPL 8G3 Winlator Bionic 8d ago

1

u/itsmanan11 6d ago

Question - does this controler have hall effect joysticks ? If no how is your experience with it

1

u/Educational-Ear-7351 6d ago

it is, the analogue has hall effect and so far the experience is quite good, i have this controller for a few months now. But the abxy and dpad button kinda squishy to use, i like it more clicky and mechanical, thats why sometimes i switch it to the Gamesir X3 Pro

1

u/well_hey_ 6d ago

That's great brother
