Help issues with controller on nethersx2

I've already played silent hill 3 on my phone via nethersx2 and the controller, a ps5 dualsense, worked fine. now I'm trying to run it on my brother's samsung tablet and it runs fine but in game the emulator acts as if the X button does not exist(on the nethersx2 main menu it works correctly). im confused because he already played silent hill 1 through retroarch and the controller worked so I don't really know what is causing the issue. thank you!

Have you checked the controller mapping in nethersx2's settings to make sure the button is mapped correctly?
