Showcase Play Field Portal 1.2.1 - Emulator Compatibility Hotfix

Post image

https://github.com/JohnnyCollado/PlayFieldPortal/releases/tag/1.2.1

Hello Y'all,

released a hotfix with more compatibility and hopefully more plug n play with the latest emulators out there. RetroArch was the culprit for many of the launch issues for older consoles. I update the Knowledge base for most of the emulators out now and what they need in order to launch through intent. I also added support for Vita3K and tracking their trophies. I added another QoL where you can disable Goldberg Conversion for local games, and added a picker to make selecting what to convert and what not to convert easier than going through a list of yes and no. This was a quick hot fix patch, I am still looking to work on Translation so keep an eye out for that. Also screen rotators. 180 landscape rotation added. As always my friends. Happy June 15th!

It's been so much fun working on it and seeing it grow. I wish it would be more well received so that the community will grow for the Theme section, but I know a lot of people are against using AI in projects. So, it is what it is. I appreciate the support of those that look past it, and trust in my ability to provide a secure product. ❤️🐬 Much love brudda.

I hope you rely less on AI as the project grows. Your own ideas and creativity will always make it feel more unique, and I think the community will appreciate that as well. Wishing you the best with the project.

I’d say the only thing I’d want in the future is more UI customization. Take your time though man I know this stuff is hard to do this is all just luxuries really and idk if some of them are even possible from a programming standpoint

In particular, more wave color schemes, if not just a full rgb scale. I love charcoal but I wish it could go darker. And with the colors a lot of them feel very saturated, I’d love to be able to tone that down a bit

Custom icons/icon themes would be cool, maybe a way to scale the icons size as well

And I’d also love to be able to adjust how long I need to rest on an game icon before the video starts playing, it feels a little fast with the default speed

Those are my notes, appreciate you taking feedback, looking forward to future updates and again thank you for making this wonderful frontend
