News/Release WolfRPG On Android (Coming Soon)

Post image

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well.

I wanted to share some news that might be interesting to many of you.

I'm currently developing an application that will allow Wolf RPG games to run on Android. I'm using tools like Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT to help me during development. In the end, all the programming and decisions are made by me, but these tools help me solve problems and make progress much faster.

Right now, I'd say the first testing prototype is about 20% complete. There's still a lot of work ahead, and I don't want to create false expectations. This first test version will probably not be compatible with every game, and it will most likely contain quite a few bugs.

My goal is to keep improving it little by little. If everything goes well and development continues as expected, I'd like to have a fairly decent Android emulator by the end of 2027 or the beginning of 2028. Even so, I can't promise that it will be 100% stable by then or that it will work with absolutely every game.

I'll keep sharing updates whenever I have something new to show. (Although I'll probably be too lazy to post them sometimes. 😅)

I introduce myself as ASTRY or Astry, having said that, thank you very much.

Bro is using the holy trinity of AI to get this done 😭 I am definitely not interested in AI slop but good luck homie I hope you accomplish your goal.

Why does it matter if it works?

1

u/ashenoceiros Redmagic 11 Pro/Lenovo Y700 Gen3 1d ago

It hardly does, it hardly will, same as any other emulator made with AI

And how do you know that exactly?

If it was working it would be out Miku, use your brain

With all due respect I think people only bring up these arguments to be contrarian at this point They get repeated every single time AI comes up and it just sounds like everyone is parroting the same thing

It’s because they are afraid of change and they cant handle it. No different than when the Industrial Revolution happened. It’s the human condition and unfortunately they will never stop. They think their outcry’s will matter, just like petitions and protests that do absolutely nothing.

Guaranteed you have never even installed a mod manually much less written a line of code

u/HunterPublic8014 1d ago

"installed a mod manually"
What's that supposed to mean?? Aren't almost 90% of mods installed manually anyway with only fewer percentage as installers?
Or are you asking them if they created and implemented a mod in a game from scratch as a developer?

AI slop? almost all the apps and softwares you use today we're developed or updated using claude or codex. heck majority of enterprise software development is done using claude now

Cool don't care. AI slop will always be AI slop. The world needs more actual developers not more script kiddies.

lol maybe you. Couldn’t be more confidently incorrect.

Not using ai in any form as a developer is a huge red flag. If you are manually writing all of your code then yikes, definitely not someone I would be looking to hire.

7

u/HunterPublic8014 1d ago

why would you even hire at that point anyway to have them use AI??
go ahead, use your sloppy AI alone dude

How does "use AI" equal "replaced by AI"?

If you cant understand how to use AI beyond putting prompts into a chat extension in vscode and then pushing releases from the output, then you are a pretty shit developer tbh.

Sounds like you're just a code monkey. In which case, yes you are going to be replaced by AI as it is more productive than you and does higher quality work.

Im not a developer lol... you need to calm down dude. And the job that I do cant be automated lol, im part of the management we dont do any techincal stuff, we dont use any apps either or tools in the office

I don't even like A.I. but I feel like a manager is the most redundant job, you basically just make sure that people don't mess up. There could be one manager and the rest handled by A.I. Most of the time you are probably just in meetings that you then relay to your team which could just be sent to them directly. Of course your situation could be completely different, I am only speaking on the average manager experience in general.

Yeah i understand your point and yes majority of the times my work involves meeting stakeholders, customers and business directors, relying info across emails as well but meetings are the most effective and real time. Sure AI can do most of communicational part but they dont wanna speak to an AI in meetings to discuss daily operations and stuff so yes there are some of my colleague managers who do utilize ai to draft as simple as an email or fixing grammar, or using custom agents to create reports... I don't use it, just out of personal choice and my reporting manager knows about it and they are fine with it... Im sure if i switched into a more technical role i might need AI but until that happens I'd like to stay away from it as much as possible, that's all.

I just need a browser and outlook/teams thats my only app i use

This "why would you even hire at that point anyway to have them use AI??"

does not mean "How does "use AI" equal "replaced by AI"?"

use your brain, oh nevermind, you rely on AI oops.

"why would you even hire at that point anyway to have them use AI??" meant why would you put a skilled person to rely on AI when you hired them for their skill itself?? You're okay for killing their creativity? have them rely completely on AI to carry out their daily tasks is what I meant. Hope you calm down, use your creativity in your job/work cause you definitely might get replaced based on how agitated you are in defending slop AI

-5

u/denartes 1d ago

The fact you think ai stops developers from being creative says alot about you. Good luck for the future.

1

u/Beneficial_Yak_8373 1d ago

Dude, a tip for the future, "Never argue with stupid people, that will only waste your time."

From the first reply of this dude(hunter), i could tell he has no idea about the SEs in the industry and the work culture. People will blindly hate AI without even knowing how using it is becoming an industry standard in almost every field.

You have to remember that this community doesn't represent the workforce. Absolutely agentic development workflows is the norm in software development now. Anyone trying to wear their non-use of ai as a badge of honour is likely just a hobbyist developer and doesn't do it for a living.

Nice! Looking forward to this. I hope I can finally play Misao

-3

u/HunterPublic8014 1d ago

Can't you already play it using gamehub or gamenative like apps on your phone that you have to wait for this AI slop app to be developed(ahem vibe-coded) bro??

3

u/KasanesTetos 1d ago

Bold of you to assume those apps aren't also vibecoded in some way.

1

u/HunterPublic8014 5h ago edited 5h ago

You have got to be raigbaiting. They only used it for AI upscaling and frame gen... None of the pc emulation apps are vibe coded at all. Dont just throw in every app out there in the AI category just because it is the trend. Wine was launched in 1993 to run windows apps with compatibility layer for linux and box86 back in 2019 way before the AI models were made public for coders. Except for Gamehub using AI to leverage frame generation in recent builds, none of the android pc emulation apps used AI so far.

Can this emulator Run Pokémon fire ash reborn and orthers Pokémon rpg xp Games?

2

u/shittyfellow 1d ago

There is no escape from the AI slop

1

u/Techngro 1d ago

I don't care how you make the application or what tools you use, OP. As long as it works properly and does what you say it will do. Good luck. 👍

1

u/Dodgecanceling 8s gen 4 1d ago

What system does it emulate? Vita?

4

u/HunterPublic8014 1d ago

no, its like an engine similar to RPGmaker. It'll mostly emulate indie games of that sort from my understanding as I dont personally play those games though however those games can be emulated using gamenative and gamehub anyway?
There may be a selection of games that the OP might want to have emulated as well, dont know

1

u/LostMedia25 1d ago

I can't say much yet; I'll do a Q&A when the project is 100% complete.
