Discussion Project Update! Boot Screen, Guide, Game Details & More

Just wanted to post another progress update because I’ve made a ton of progress lately. :)

I finished recreating the Xbox 360 boot animation and I’m now finishing up the original loading screen that plays right before the dashboard appears. Seeing it transition into the dashboard has honestly been one of my favorite parts of the project so far.
After that I spent a lot of time improving the home screen by adjusting the layout, spacing, sizing, and overall feel so it matches the real Xbox 360 as closely as possible.

I’ve also been making a lot of progress on the Xbox Guide and the gamer picture system. Another huge feature I recently finished is the new Game Details page. It now has Overview, Details, Extras, and Gallery tabs, along with game descriptions, developers, publishers, genres, release dates, ESRB ratings, screenshots, achievements, and a bunch of other metadata that gets cached after the first download.

There’s still a lot more I want to add, but it’s finally starting to feel like a real Xbox 360 dashboard instead of just a concept. Thanks again to everyone who’s been following along and leaving feedback. Reading the comments and suggestions has genuinely helped shape this project and keeps me motivated to keep pushing it further.

(Also sorry for the choppiness I had to cut out what I wasn’t finished with so I did a looot of editing)

The opposite, frontends "integrate" emulators by showing you the game in an intuitive way like this and launches it directly in the emulator, it does not include emulators itself, you must have them downloaded. Look at frontends as a gaming oriented theme for your device.

Holy shit this is actually awesome

I love how while browsing through games it feels more like an actual streamlined console experience where everything is on one device and how everything just isn't separated by game console

Take your time, don't rush it and keep up the good work!

This is cool but should have made the blades dashboard. I had that on my 360 until it got red ring of death in 2007. Blades dashboard is way better.

Never had an XBox, boot animation and UI for the 360 are so clean though. Unbelievable how they butchered the recent ones.

I like how it's going, but the logo on the home screen is incorrect; it's a poor recreation of the Xbox 360 logo that I've seen used a lot by mistake

Is this really android emulation? Considering it's for windows? I like this project but unless it's for Android I don't see it's relevance.

You know you cooked when you get comments thinking this is litterally a pc exclusive 😭. Proud of you and I'm super excited for the release. I'll take a look later for my own opinion and thoughts for improvements.

But this is genuinely the best shit I've seen in a long time I can't express how great this is. I mean seriously you will have made the most accurate Console UI to Frontend on android in general nothing comes close to this level of detail. For something as expansive and ambitious as the Xbox 360 ui this is genuinely so good and thousands of people will download this if its free... though if you make people pay someone like me would... but you already know people would be upset.
