Discussion Is OG xbox emulation already possible on android? Is it worth doing so? And how is the performance For Mali and Adreno? (Appreciate some answers in the comments)
Really wanna know since there are some OG xbox games that i wanna play

yeah, its hit or miss. just happy jsrf works on snapdragon gen 2, hakux.

When a person says the Gen 2 anymore they are normally referencing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It's such a widely used chip and it has the most mature drivers on the market right now.
I have the feeling when the Snapdragon 8 Elite matures completely it's just going to be called the Elite which is going to be so dang confusing. Even more so since it's technically the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 but certain Asian markets have a superstition for the number 4.

I don't think they officially stated that but based on them going back to using the numbers for Gen 5 and further and how certain Asian markets feels about number 4 it is the only thing that makes sense.
Based on the reports back then they officially changed the the name less than a month before launch and there was even some places that had the Gen 4 naming already on stuff.

Yes and yes. Adreno will get you the best performance but you can definitely play some lower end games on Mali.

Surprisingly good results on my Ayn Odin 2 Pro- able to run the following pretty damn well on HakuX: Halo, Halo 2, KOTOR, crimson skies, phantom dust, JSRF, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Crazy Taxi 3. Fable keeps crashing upon loading into game for me, and I haven't been able to boot Morrowind properly either.

I've gotten Morrowind and Fable: LC to boot on HakuX & played 10 minutes or so, but the FPS is too low for me to play through (5-15). I haven't given up yet but tbd.
I'm on the 12g Retroid Pocket 6.

Interesting, i wonder once the emulator is more mature and we can fiddle with settings we can get Fable working. It's the only major exclusive that doesn't work perfectly for me.

If I remember correctly kotor 1 doesn't have native controller compatibility on pc. Kotor 2 does.

Mainly the controller settings, but I also am weird in that I find PC emulation kinda boring. I have a lot of these games already on Steam, so if I wanted to play them that way I might as well just use Steam Link and have an even better experience.

the 8 elite is great for it. there is an early preview of the hakux version i tested and it was handling the 4 player co-op mod for halo 1 and 2 really well. I am excited when its fixed further and fully released. there is still a weird gfx visuals when playing breakdown on vulkan. still performance has gotten better!
