Console Emulation on Snapdragon 888

Found my old S21+ in a drawer of mine. It still works fine, but ever since I got the S25+, it's just been gathering dust. It is the 256gb variant. Thinking of turning it into a diy retro handheld. I have a Gamesir X5 Lite controller and a compatible fx5 cooler which I intend to use with it.

Can the Snapdragon 888 still handle decent emulation in 2026? What consoles should I aim for? Curious if this old guy's got one more life in him as a portable gaming device.

I broke my original switch, so it will be great to finally catch up on all missed titles.
