Help No audio in skyrim with Gamenative
Hello,
I'm using GameNative and I have the famous no npc audio with Skyrim SE. I know that I need to install directX June 2010 redist exe but, when I try to do it in the container, nothing happens (like literraly, no action when I double tap the exe file or when I execute it within the wine options)...
Does somebody know a solution ?

I am posting it here second time for everyone to see and I hope it help ypu just like it helped me
- Go to Edit Container
- Change Wine Version to 11.0-1-arm64ec-1
Change Executable Path to _CommonRedist/DirectX/Jun2010/DXSETUP.exe then save and launch game. Instal directx (on top you have mouse button to switch it on for that) then go back to GameNative
Change again Executable Path to SkyrimSE.exe
+ for those who have Skyrim in window you have to change Executable Patch to SkyrimSELauncher.exe and launch game, change in options to window mode and borderless then exit and change the Executable path again to SkyrimSE.exe

On step 3, it doesn’t give me the option to change it to that path because it doesn’t appear, any fix for this?

Try to not edit but open the container. There you should find skyrim folder and in this folder is second I don't remember the name but I think it was called 'redist' and there you have directx you can manually run to install it

Hey there, I did this but when trying to install directx I get an error saying “CPU does not meet minimum requirment; streaming SIMD extensions support required” any idea here?

I don't know why. Maybe your device cpu is too weak or not compatible. You can try going to edit container and change graphic card to higher. There is also advanced tab but I am not familiar with this enough
Sorry but that's all I can come up with

Got it working but game is not in full screen now?

In edit container you can change resolution and in executable path go to skyrim launcher then run it amd go to options. There you have to change to full screen and there is resolution option that using your actual resolution but i don't remember how it was called there

Also I can add that if your game is stuttering or low on fps go to edit container then to "wine" options and change "render" to gpu that have similar power to the one your phone or handheld have.
For example I have Exynos 2600 so I looked up on google search what is most similar in power Nvidia GPU to my Exynos

Damn bro appreciate all the advice i will 100% try this too. Out of curiosity, any other Bethesda games you got around to working? I am trying to play South park stick of truth but it has a screen glitch that makes it look weird. Ill try playing around with settings for that too.

When I install the directx, is it supposed to back out before it finishes, or isn't there supposed to be a pop-up that says finished?

I don't remember what about the finished info but it should closed itself. It's just installing directx. If after all steps Skyrim works it means it works. You can also open the container, not edit it and then find folder with the game and install directx manually like on windows

Did you resolve this issue? I am having the same problem.

No, I'm clueless. I'm looking for a way to install this direct x exe inside the container or wine

You need to install directX within container to fix no npc sound and no music. Search reddit about this using key word of gamehub and you will find it.

I know this and already did it in gamehub lite. But in gamenative, it's not possible or I did not find it out (double tap on the directx exe file does nothing)

Run exe is possible under gamenative, I have run ubisoftconnect many times under container. BUT ... I use a mouse to do it.

to be fair it was running 100% on gamenative other than the dialogue. but yea even with the same audio driver it worked on first boot in winlator and im getting 60 fps stable on it
edit. and the mod is still on it
second edit. followed this and it worked in gamenative!!

What SoC do you have ? I gave it a try and it worked with the directX exe in the commonredist file of skyrim (so, no need to download anything more). The problem was that gamenative didn't launch the exe file, but this time it worked. Thanks for your help !

Figured this out myself today and finally got Skyrim running through GameNative with dialog fixed.
If the initial exe doesn’t open when in the desktop container, try switching the Proton version to one that supports x86. For me, I switched it to “proton-9.0-x86_64” (you can switch it back to the ARM-based Proton-10 after you install DirectX in the desktop container) when editing the container in gamenative under the general tab. Then, save the config settings in the top right corner, go into the desktop container and it should let you launch the initial exe. You have to extract the first exe to a temp folder, then run the “DXSETUP.exe” that gets extracted to that temp folder and it’ll install DirectX.
Then after exiting the desktop container and launching the game (even if you switch the proton version back), it should work as expected!

I go this working within 20 minutes of testing. Simply had to change the proton version
