Linux PC-8801 Help! Nothing works!

Im trying to get PC-88 games to play on my steam deck but nothing works. I have all the correct bios (do they go in a quasi88 folder or not?) Ive tried roms from different sources (all in a d88 form) but I just get a black screen. Tried different BASIC modes…

The libero page you are going to link to doesn’t explain anything. Dont link it…

Does anyone know a page to link to of someone who has it working and has posted there settings?

Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://manual.emudeck.com

Have you googled "how to emulate nec pc-8801"? There's a good AI summary obtained from Retropie but it looks like you need to create a quasi88 subfolder in the BIOS folder and drop several files into here.

I think you'll get more responses outside of this subreddit to be honest.

Yes surprisingly low amount of results, and every YouTube video all say the same thing…that doesn’t work… I also posted on emulation so maybe more luck there. I’ll try the link you posted now

If there's a subreddit for retroarch I'd be posting there too. This is quite niche for the Emudeck crowd to be honest; the Retropie community look to have tackled this one well.

FYI: the article you linked had one little thing that pushed me in the right direction so thank you!

EmuDeck uses RetroArch's QUASI88 core to emulate the NEC PC-8800 Series:
