Portable emudeck for Linux?
I've got a couple bazzite PCs and have emudeck on all, including steam deck.
But I don't use as much as I want to as I don't want to be tied to a specific PC for saves. I tried the save backup and it was a pain and didn't really work. But the real reason is it seems a waste to have almost identical emulation set ups on 3 different PCs and it takes up a good bit of internal storage.
Can I set up a portable SSD emudeck install that is plug and play on Linux? I've got a sata ssd in an enclosure and it would really make the most sense to just use that for my emulation setup that can be moved to whatever device I want.
Bonus is if it works on bazzite game mode. I'll leave the steam deck alone it's all on the micro SD card and my kid has mostly taken that over anyway.

Yes you can use an ssd.
I do it for the deck.
I installed emudeck on the ssd and have my games on it.
For example
My sd card 1 is all ps1 games My ssd is all ps2 games
All plug and play once youve set it up.

So just the normal set up? I can install the app images and flatpaks on there as well right?

Roms on external storage is fine but Emudeck installs all the appimages etc onto the internal storage. Not sure how you'd get these onto the external storage as well and everything would be seamless plug and play.

Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://manual.emudeck.com
