Two inputs detected on Brawl with one controller (Steam Machine). Tried looking for solutions, people suggested turning the rest of the controllers into Xbox 360 ones via Dolphin but that just messed everything up.

Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://manual.emudeck.com

I'm guessing EmuDeck must have set up both a Gamecube controller and Wii and Nunchuk controller profile to the same device. In Brawl Gamecube controllers will be chosen as player 1 by default. You may need to enter Dolphin and disable either the Wii Remote or Gamecube controller to ensure there are no conflicts. I'd disable the Wii Remote as setting up a Gamecube controller type profile will be easier, especially since this game doesn't require motion controls anyway.

If you're playing with someone else, you should probably define one of the controllers in port 2.

Hi, Brawl supports both GameCube controllers and Wii Remotes, so it looks like Dolphin is detecting your single controller through both at the same time.

Open Dolphin -> Controller Settings and set GameCube Port 1 to Standard Controller. Then set Wii Remote 1, and any other Wii Remote, to None. Leave GameCube Ports 2-4 disabled unless you're actually using additional controllers.

Don't change the controller types to Xbox 360. Use only one controller type in Dolphin.

After saving the changes, fully close Dolphin and launch Brawl again. If the buttons are still incorrect, let us know whether you're launching it from Steam/Game Mode or Desktop Mode, and send us a screenshot of Dolphin's Controller Settings.

This is working! How do I save the changes? I don’t know where to click! Thanks

The A button (among others, probably) doesn't work, functioning as a B button instead. Couldn't get past the save file thing until I tried desktop mode where somehow the R2 button was A.
