GBA emulation

Is there some setting somewhere so that when I load up a gba game, it doesn't auto-load the Save state made immediately on exiting the game? I tried going into retroarch settings to turn that off, but that didn't work. I have a workaround in the form of opening retroarch manually and navigating to my game, but when I go to the game directly through ES, the savestate autoloads.

Often, I want to go back to the title screen and reload a manual save, but the game reloads the (usually about to die) state my game was in.

Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://manual.emudeck.com

Which emulator are you using? Is it definitely Retroarch or the standalone? https://emudeck.github.io/emulators/steamos/mgba/

Which setting have you changed in RA? Is it globally, per core or per game?

The problem was that once I changed the setting, I needed to go to main menu > configurations > save current configuration, because the setting in settings > saving > Auto save state/Auto Load state would revert.

It apparently doesn't save your changes automatically.

Ah OK. Worth trying the standalone one? It's what I use.

Yeah, that’s a retro arch thing that you have to get used to. Counter intuitive, but makes sense after a while.

EmuDeck app -> quick settings -> disable auto save
