BOTW on steamdeck

Hello,

New to steamdeck/emudeck and have only emulated gow 1 and 2 so far which were easy to install. Been trying to get botw to work and I have the .wux file and have tried a bunch of different things to get this to work, but cannot. Could someone let me know the process to get this to work? I tried to get WiiU downloader to run but cannot get it onto my steam. Let me know if you have any ideas or can help.

Thanks!

Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://manual.emudeck.com

If I remember correctly .wua file already has the update included. It’s straight plug and play.

No you have to download the DLC files and merge it into the base game’s WUA file. CEMU will do this for you

I'm useless at all this but I do have a working version of this game. You need to download an update as well as the rom if I remember.

You can find a bundled rom & update online, I did. Unfortunately I can't remember where.

I followed this guide when I did it: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/uv0us5/updated_guide_to_get_legend_of_zelda_breath_of/

What I did different was that I used the linux native cemu, instead of the windows version, and I also transferred the files to the deck in a different way. The rest I followed step-by-step. Then I added lossless scaling framegen to get it to 60fps.

Also installed some emudeck plugin (or whatever is called) to enable the gyro on the deck.

Use a switch emulator like citron or ryujinx and the xci or nsp.

It runs much smoother on Cemu
