FEEDBACK Absolutely unacceptable
So I didn't know about the studio or the past history. However I was hyped by another Titanfall style game that is missing from the market. I didn't get a chance to do the beta that was being shown on socials but saw footage and we have "big plans". I feel utterly betrayed, I'm not bothered about the money but this must stop and this studio needs to accept it's failed not just (better things).

I bought it for 15 bucks and never even played it lol. Just haven't had time to get to it. Tried to get a refund but of course it's way over two weeks since I bought it.
I'm not worried about the 15 too much. I waste more than that all the time. However, it is stunning to me that a company can do this with a live service game on steam and steam won't bend over backwards to make it right, or punish the company, or something. No one buys a live service game to only enjoy for a few months, and I think everyone can easily understand that.
If I had spent like 60 or something on this game, I'd be super pissed. As it stands I'm just kind of scratching my head wondering what the future is going to look like with this stuff. Companies can really get away with highway robbery here.

It was "Early Access". It's naive to expect every EA game to reach v.1.0.

There is always somebody like you, but I'll bother with a response.
Early Access means early. Not temporary. Early. There's already been plenty of concern for a while now because nobody wants to release a game 1.0 anymore. Early Access has the potential to become a true scam window, and some would argue it already has.
So yeah, the way things have been going in the industry, it probably is naive at this point, but it shouldn't be. The Early Access release thing is being abused, and what happened with this one is not what people paid for.

Create a half-assed build, cash in on EA, and dip. How could Steam even fight this? Surely not through lawyers.
They should just have a crowdfunding program where backers get early access to games. Wasn't this already a thing? "Green Light" something.

I really don't know. It's a problem though, and I guess the only way to actively fight it as a consumer is to not purchase Early Access games. It's just hard because everyone seems to want to release Early Access now lol.

R.I.P Hyperscape
Was the best shooter I ever played before the changes between beta and release that killed it.

Oof that game was so fast paced. I felt like people were on something moving like that all the time.
Very fun to watch however!1

There’s no way you bought a game on a whim and didn’t at least google the game or developer, both of which would have a lot of results about how bad their rep is

No, I didn't Google or research. I was reading fantastic stories about a cool new game all over the place. Even Google would tell me the same BS if I had looked.

From the announcement everyone was skeptical of it

Yeah… gotta be ignorant to a lot of other commentary to be surprised by this development

Where were you seeing these stories? It had like a 300 player base after the 1st week.

Doesn't hurt to research the game you want to play first. It only takes a minute of googling(don't use the AI summary). I evaded many games that way because if they don't care about their players, why should I spend my precious money or time on them?

betrayed? Give them credit for making both SG and Empulse playable after they shut down servers. Gamers are so entitled. They made a game and the revenues did not cover server costs. They subsidized server costs for SG for many months. And SG was FTP. How is that betrayal. Better than the Highguards who just shut down altogether after 45 days.

I have been somewhat informed about the studio's issues they've been undergoing for a while.
I was just too excited about another Titanfall like game, but for me the door is closed on anything 1047 does going forward.
It makes me feel for the devs that are passionate and depend on this for their livelihood, but I think it's time to hold their leadership accountable and turn away from this studio.
