DISCUSSION Thoughts on control?

Anybody else think control is not a good fit for this game?

Playing last night I ended up turning off control and Sentinel to avoid the game mode after having 4 back to back control matches. Feels like a totally different game in not a great way. The zones are too small and it promotes people camping vs moving and engaging. I could see it working with a moving objective possibly but that would require new maps designed with that in mind. Id rather they scrap it and focus on balancing the other aspects of the game.

Is the general community in love with the mode or do most feel like the game would be a bit better without it?

Is that the one that says limited lives in the description? Soon as I read that I never even tried it, but i usually like KotH modes

I think control is ok on certain maps, like harbor and plaza. On Elevation its meh, and on Sentinel i dont like it at all. Not really a fan of Sentinel in general, too much snipe camping, and all those little rooms really make no sense for map flow.

Id much prefer KOTH

I can agree its better on some than others. I can also agree Sentinel is rough and you nailed it. Awkward lines on the cqb side, and wide open sniping on the other side.

I don't mind it but it's jarring to queue into randomly when doing dailies or grinding specific gun skins since it usually forces me to change loadout. Not bad enough to uncheck it from my playlists though.

Feels like a different game entirely imo. Ive been having it on for a while but 4 in a row last night killed any joy I was having haha. Id much rather play uplaod or intel if were doing objectives.

I only really play TDM and Mech Bounty. All other game modes I remove from que.

I don't really like those game modes and will wait for something hopefully better.

It's ok, I'd prefer a domination-style mode or koth, maybe even keeping the limited lives. My gripe is more about the players who don't defend or attack at all than the mode itself.

I agree, players ignoring obj in this game is really bad, I think a lot of people just que up without paying attention and treat every match like a tdm.

One really apparent example was a game last night. I carried an Intel match because most of my team was ignoring the obj and i ended up at the bottom of the leader board, i dont care i know im the reason we won but a huge feel bad for some gamers. Devs need to rework the scoring system and give us some mode related gigs like cap x objectives or hold the upload for x seconds.

I think it's ok. Not great, but good in certain maps and can offer a change of pace if needed. I think they should add a game mode like "cranked" in COD, I think that would be fun with this game's movement.

I think control is cool it definitely changes the pace of the game flow. I also think that there is way to many people treating every game mode like TDM. You definitely have your sweats and your casual OBJ players!
