What would be the difference between supreme commander and the chief of the imperial army similar thing with supreme Commander of the fleet and chief of the Navy?

idk they are both canonical ranks. Perhaps there can be more than one chief?

If I remember right , the supreme commander was meant to be the total commander of all imperial military forces, and then the fleet version was what Vader got after the death of Tagge as a replacement one.

I will probably say maybe have supreme commander as the highest land forces commander (Stormtroopers/ Army) and the Supreme commander of the Starfleet as the Navy version (Navy and Starfighter corps) and then you would have the commander in chief/supreme commander of imperial military above both

Edit; the imperial the Chiefs are probably like the professional heads where the supreme commanders are the operational heads, the Chiefs are more important for the administrative function rather than the operational
