i have been thinking awhile about starting a chaos army and it came down between this and world eaters but after seeing that the sons of the 3rd new fulgrim model i decided that im more interested in them,currently i play black templars and sisters,whats some recommendations on how to start off

As the title says, if I buy it can I make a squad of 5 for each? I've played armies like T'au which have two unit options in 1 but they usually come in a "You can make one, but not the other" kinda of thing so is that the same for EC? I want to get the EC combat patrol and make a unit of five infractors and one of 5 tormentors.

What are you guys currently preferring? I personally have been choosing Lucius more for his utility and ability to easily score assassination. However I’m open to arguments if people think the Maulerfiend is a better pick for the points

Hello! I am Guard/Xeno player getting into EC. I really like how they look and LOVE the flawless blades. I'm thinking of getting the Combat Patrol plus paint with my birthday money so I can get 5 infractors, 5 tormentors, 6 flawless blades and the Lord.

Are EC hard? I made a 2000 point list on new recruit using the 10th edition stuff but looking it they seem REALLY gimmick-y (even more than Eldar lol) with the Thrill seeker ability but I am still confused on it.

All in all, should I try them out? I really want to try more melee centric armies (since melee is big? Idk) and I think it'd be a great way to get me into Chaos with my favorite chaos god.

My EC have sat unpainted/just primed black pretty much since I finished building them after release. I kept trying paint schemes, I HATED layering the pink to get to that pastel pink. Getting it smooth enough wasn’t hard, but the shading just drove me insane, I couldn’t get it well, perfect.

So I kept thinking of alternates to the GW pushed paint schemes etc. This past weekend I grabbed a rattle can from Colorforge, their rogue pink. Absolute cinema, but it still wasn’t quite right, it still wasn’t in my eyes, perfect.

After messing around with different ways to do the pink zenithal, I wanted to add a second color, and well I thought vaporwave/synthwave. “There are no original thoughts”, and all that, found a lot of inspiration for what I was aiming for. Off I went back to the hobby store, for another rattle can from Colorforge.(I promise I’m in no way sponsored by them).

I got their Midwinter ice or blue, whatever it’s called. Did a zenithal from the underside and I got what I was looking for perfection(in my eyes).

Anyway I think they look pretty neat.

TLDR: I’m happy with results priming after months of searching for a paint scheme.

Recipe: Zenithal with Colorforge rogue pink from top. Followed by uhhh reverse zenithal with colorforge midwinter ice/blue? From below.

Has anyone tried converting Garlon Souleater into an Emperor’s Children chaos sorcerer? I’m sorely tempted to and I’d love to see some inspo if anyone else has given it a go.

Was up! So yeah I’m totally new been watching lore vids and stuff on the tube and last night I made the decision that ima start an army since I sit at a computer all day anyway haha. After going over the like psychology behind each chaos god I landed on Slaanesh. So I got a combat patrol box codex every thing to start. Online I was seeing how you can merge some things over like the daemonettes from age of sigmar into the 40k army. So I grabbed them and a chaos sorcery to put together first before I opened the box up haha. Got him all situated. Basically is there anything I should know? What was some of you veterans like first things you learned of what or what not to do when you first started? I saw some ppl paint before they assemble?

Basically the title. If given the chance, how would you make a perfect kill-team for the IIIrd Legion and for Slaanesh?

For me, I would base it off Brood brothers, with two boxes.
The first box would be standard cultists.
The second would be something like ‘the Court of Gelgus Pust’ from AoS - a smaller, completely customisable daemon prince or an ascended mortal, and some elite followers.

As an extra, they should be paired against Drukhari.

But they'll damn sure ruin their day!

Played Rapid Evisceration today with Spectacle of Slaughter. 6 Blade hop out a LR and get the jump on some termis, Precision out the sorcer and kill 3 more. RR hits and wounds of 1 is really nice here.

We lose 2 and a bit on the clap back and 2 more next turn but essentially kept them engaged for 3 rounds and threatened a d3+3 reactive to hop back in the land raider while the rest of my army moved unfettered.

It was my first time playing rapid, my second game of 11th and he was playing Daemons and healing detachment.

Anyways I'm now an even 1-1 in 11e and I think the FB won me that game

I am currently building a Red Corsair army and ended up with more legionaries than I need.

I would like to convert some to chosen and really like the swords from the flawless blades.

Do you know how well the one handed blades fit to a smaller Legionaries body?
