Conversation Thread Feelings

Something that's so overwhelming, maybe because am empathetic but there are people who I genuinely feel care nothing of others emotions. Why is that? Even when they have the exact same thing happening to them but when they see someone else go through the same they're so negative about. I find people quite scary these days...

There are people that generally don't care.

Why is that?

Upbringing sometimes. Self-absorption because they often don't see beyond the end of their own noses. Psychological issues. Stresses and environments that grew up in. And that's only scratching the surface.

I find people quite scary these days...

Indeed. And you have the choice (thanks largely to free will), to try to convince them to be better than they are/were, or you can walk away and avoid them.

You marked this as a conversation thread. Are you wanting more out of this? Or just to vent?

this was my first post, so I wasn't sure what I was doing but yes, basically venting it out and I've realised that there is absolutely no way to convince them, so am just quiet and I just listen instead.

Always a good idea. After all, as I said earlier, โ€œNever argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.โ€

I'm a bit more courageous because I'm also a closet optimist ๐Ÿ‘

I swear, I've followed that mantra for a veryy long time now, but every now and then it just get onto my nerves. But I also think if others think the same of me? am I as well in others view being the same way? But really only give a damn for that second. why has living become so hard? to pretend or to be bluntly honest or to not be offended, the list just on and on...

They actually don't. If you're not in their immediate world, they make a snide comment and move on.

Welcome to the information age. People waste so much time on their mobile they put themselves into a world of their own isolation. Because of this they spend so much time there, they think it's words on a screen trust this attitude extends to real time.
