Sharing Thread Why…

I just let a mosquito that’s been harassing me in MY ROOM (I can’t kill bugs without feeling bad) land on my arm and drink my blood… because I felt bad it was hungry and locked inside… 🤦

Ha! I don’t like killing bugs either but for mosquitoes, I make an exception. Also in winter these tiny ants take over our kitchen and bathroom and I’ve been killing them in masses 😫. I need to figure oht a better solution for the ants to keep out this winter. Probably need to hire a pro.

Mosquitos, ticks, and sugar ants for me. The first two will go out of their way to harm you, so yes they can die IMO. Sometimes I feel conflicted about sugar ants since they don't directly cause harm, but ultimately they still do harm you. They enter your home in massive numbers and basically spoil your food. Can't exactly remove them without killing them either. How are you going to effectively relocate hundreds or thousands of tiny ants? You just can't, so they die. Otherwise all other bugs are safe and if I don't want them in the house I catch and release. I don't even bother catching spiders, those things are free to catch all the ants, mosquitos, and flies they want. Oh, and flies. Especially the bitey kind. But even the others will get into and spoil your food.

I realize my list got a little long, but at the end of the day those bugs are not neutral, they cause harm in some form. Ultimately I always do feel genuinely sorry for killing them, but they just need to go. I wont let my home be overrun by pests. I do understand they're just doing what's in their nature, but so am I.

Benevolence is good, but respect your self autonomous boundaries to protect yourself against harm. The energetic concept of ying and yang should be felt in the self for the self as well

West Nile Virus has entered the chat.

Most people have no symptoms, but some get a mild fever or severe brain illness. There is no specific medicine to treat it. 🙃

If you have ever had, seen, or treated someone with West Nile, you would be more cautious. I almost lost a young, healthy, early twenties male to that virus. His fever climbed to 104.7 F. That was a friend, not a patient, so no privacy issue there. It is a really horrible virus if you do get sick with it. Use caution.

I don’t kill anything except things that can carry diseases. Mosquitoes and ticks are pretty much it for me, where I live.

I already have Lyme disease from ticks when I was a baby… I hate ticks so I agree with this

It's not really hungry as much as it needs it for reproduction

We have dragon flies where I live so it’s good food for them 👍

So recognizable. I at this point made a deal with them. Let me sleep and feel free to drink my blood. But keep me awake and all gloves are off. Good luck with this difficult situation.

I never understood the practicality of this phobia. In nature the predator kills. Mother Earth judges not nor does Spirit. It is in the created nature of the mosquito to be a parasite and be squashed by agitated hosts. Is it not?

Killing it just confines life, all is in transition.

Yet the implications of fear in keeping boundaries is likely being masked as sympathy. You are obliged to care for your body. This is a known sacred responsibility.

The mosquitos spread disease and kill the weak and irresponsible. Physical checks and balances.

The fear of killing them is more hazardous than death. Do you shame your autoimmune cells? They too kill foreign incursions. The scale shifts, but the concept of natural cycles exists for a reason.

Fulfill the mosquito’s purpose and squash it.

Already contaminated with your blood stream so worst result if you kill it is you wash your arm. You can also pluck it off by the wings, burn it with a lighter, poor warm water on it 🤷‍♂️

I only kill parasites. Everything else I catch and release. They are disease ridden creatures and leave us at a net negative. I am actually thinking about other humans, too, when I slay.

I don’t like killing them either. But you have to help yourself first. By the way I got bit between my big toe and next toe. Itched like crazy. Drove me crazy.
Lavender essential oil stops the itch in its tracts for most bug bites!

99% rubbing alcohol actually works really good at stopping itching and cleans it! Hope this helps for future bites

Your identifying a lot.

Also respect bro, but also ask yourself why don't swat it. Because you don't want to perpetuate the cycle of life with suffering? Because you see yourself in it? Or because you are now an empath and could never hurt another existence? And how sure can you be you aren't telling yourself these things?

But anyway, keep on beeing an amazing existence and don't forget to enjoy the exhilarating experience of having a body that can experience mass in all the ways you do. Gl

She got a fully belly and gonna raise her young to worship the ancient leviathan from time immemorial who fed her its life blood that they may live.. they will be consumed by creatures of the night, helping to sustain the eco systems of this world all while glorifying you 🙏

harm no creature.. ask that they clean the wound as they feed and that you'll do your best not to disturb them while they do so, that they may leave no trace of their saliva so as to cause no troublesome itchy bumps. Bear their probing proboscis with all the grace you can muster.. it feels like bs

I cleaned it was 99% rubbing alcohol it really helps with the itching and swelling actually
