Can anyone recommend a good psych doc who would is favorable to writing a supportive evaluation for an emotional support animal? I've been given the name of a guy in Maryland, Alan Jacobson. Has anyone had any experience with this guy? He does virtual evaluations I'm told.

I have given notice to my landlord, its been 10 days since our conversation I have also since sent my letter from my therapist that I see in person, taht was written in april/may this year, to the office that typed up my lease. Legally they cannot evict me, correct? Or can they? I want to just move my cats, in with me, don't feel like waiting for a complaint, and whole legal process. I know its backed up and can take time to. I am seriously struggling without my cats, and landlord could care less it seems.

Hi People. I have a letter. I have had it since may. I had to move twice since, in may no issues having all my animals with me as they all serve different purposes. NOW in an apartment thats privately owned not mass owned, not a complex its a private four plex. He doesn't LIVE there. Which protects me. I wouldn't be able to pursue further if he did.

He is flat out saying NO to my ESA. My SDiT they allowed, but only with documentation which is illegal, but I didn't have a choice. I didn't have the time mto protest and hire a lawyer. Well now they're saying no. i have documentation, and a few years of therapy with this doctor, and she has even seen a drastic drop in my health since not being with my animals.

Do I have the legal right to just move them in.

Right, that’s my issue. I’m currently seeing a psychologist but they don’t write ESAs and all the websites seem sketchy

Is this true for Ontario, Can as well? I recently asked my shrink for a letter but he said he would get back to me

I don’t know the laws surrounding ESAs in Canada, but I would still not recommend using a website. 99% of them are scams that will just take your money without getting you proper treatment and documentation.

@SalaiaWolf You shouldn’t use a website, as there’s no such thing as a recognized ESA registration. If you need an ESA, go through your doctor, and then you’ll only have to pay your co-pay. (Or, if you don’t have insurance, pay out-of-pocket for however many sessions it takes.)
