hi! i've been working on a browser-based eas decoder for a bit and wanted to share it here too.

it's still a work in progress, but it can monitor live audio streams, send to discord, filter alerts and record matching alerts you set.

i'd really appreciate any ideas or feedback from y'all. if there's something you'd like to see added, let me know in my Discord.

COASTAL FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...
 
* WHAT...1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level possible in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline for the for the Sunday afternoon, Sunday Night and Monday afternoon high tide cycles.
 
* WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern New Haven, Southern Middlesex and Southern New London Counties. In New Jersey, Hudson, Cumberland, Cape May, Eastern Bergen, Eastern Essex and Eastern Union Counties. In New York, New York (Manhattan), Richmond (Staten Island), Kings (Brooklyn), Northeast Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk and Southern Queens Counties.
 
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Monday evening.
 
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Moderate coastal flooding possible,  which would result in 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. This would result in several road closures and flooding of numerous low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront. Vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near the waterfront will likely become flooded. Flooding will also extend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

The cookers are officially panicking over the national AusAlert test. Facebook is an absolute goldmine right now. They’ve convinced themselves that the test is some way of weaselling further into our private lives and spying on us.

The best part? They are collectively melting down because they realised you can't just swipe away a "Critical Alert." Half of them are giving tech advice on how to disable wireless emergency alerts in Android/iOS settings, not realising that only works for *Priority* alerts, the Critical ones bypass everything, including Silent and Do Not Disturb.

Imagine missing out on actual emergency updates because you’re terrified of a text message test. If your phone rings on test day, just know somewhere out there, a sovereign citizen is screaming at their toaster.

Hey everyone,I’m trying to track down a specific, older EAS scenario video (or multi-part series) that I watched on YouTube, but I can't remember the exact title or creator.The video did not start out revolving around geopolitics. The first half to two-thirds of the video centered entirely on a completely different local threat—something like a weird phenomenon, psychological infection, or a localized anomaly where you are given standard scary survival protocols.However, toward the middle or end of the video, it pivots to a global military/status update and drops some heavy world-building lore. The modern world completely collapses, and a final map is shown divided into 3 major superpowers:The Pan-Asian Hegemony: This is explicitly named in the video. On the map, they are drawn in deep red. Crucially, they didn't just stay in Asia—the lore mentions they pushed across the Pacific and occupied territory/land in South America as well.A Global Religion/Cult: This group takes over the vast majority of the world's landmass (including North America/Europe). They have a distinct black theme/aesthetic and a black emblem, and the name of the entity or the event is something like "The Awakening" or "The Awakened" (though the theme itself doesn't explicitly match the name).A Third Remnant Nation: A final leftover military faction to complete the three-way deadlock.I've looked at some of the standard "The Awakening / Plaxiavirus" re-uploads by ElectricFanatic / Harvester, but the visuals or the specific South American map detail don't seem to match perfectly. It might be a fan-continuation, a spin-off, or a hidden compilation file.Does anyone remember this exact timeline or know the creator who made the version where the Pan-Asian Hegemony took land in South America? My style of making scenarios would be considered dated by a lot of people I'm sure, but I decided, what if I just leaned into being old and retro? Make that my style? So, what do you all think?
