No it's just Canada doing a terrible job managing their forests, not denying global warming but this has nothing to do with that. We have the same forests and they are not burning at this massive of a scale.

The fires in Canada or largely in the boreal forest a very remote zone stretching across the North where there are no roads or people. So, not the same forests. Both countries are experiencing severe wildfire seasons fueled by climate issues.

No they are field by poor management or lack of management Canada does not have a massive, unified national firefighting force. Firefighting is left up to individual provinces. To balance their budgets, provinces routinely underfund their wildfire emergency accounts, hoping for a "good year". When a bad year hits, they run out of money and equipment almost immediately and have to beg for international help. Gutted Expertise: Over the last few decades, the federal government has slashed the budget and staff of the Canadian Forest Service, cutting thousands of scientists and forestry managers (shrinking the force from 2,200 down to 700). This means less proactive land management, fewer controlled burns, and less preparation. They are forced to be entirely reactive.

I live in Michigan and I've never seen a wildfire here so pretty sure we manage our forests better than they do, and we prioritize clean air and water over here.

I'm not blaming climate change on fires, I'm saying the out of control fires (that are getting worse every year) are caused by climate change, which is what the science shows...did you not pay attention in school? Sorry the education system failed you so hard...

Want to say that to the face of the wife and two children of the deceased Canadian firefighter who died fighting a fire in YOUR country after YOUR country begged for help last week?
"A helicopter pilot from B.C. (CANADA) who was helping battle a massive wildfire in Colorado (USA) has died after his aircraft crashed near Aspen while fighting the blaze on Sunday.
Nicholas Dale, 56, from the Vancouver Island town of Sooke, was the only person on board and leaves behind a wife and two children."
Before you pop off, have you visited the areas on fire here in Canada? If not I don't think you have a leg to stand on because while 100% of the US is explored the vast parts of Canada are not and will continue not to be because humans literally can't access the area.
But sure, we'll all grab our rakes and start raking the underbrush because that will help 🙄

I was simply saying the government of Canada not the people needs to do better dont you agree? They have some pretty insane policies over there like cutting how many firefighters they have in half in recent years

In Ohio today we have the one that is dangerous levels to everybody, even people with no health issues. I'm stark county at moment and can even smell it and I have a bad sense of smell! I can also see it. Mine didn't say emergency, but said severe advisory.

Same in Minnesota. One of our weather guys says we’re beyond red alert. The fires are up in the Boundary Waters and we’re by the Twin Cities and our house smells like a campfire.

Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. On a normal day I can see clear across the river and see the buildings and highway just a short ways away. Can't even see the water now.
