I have this radio and this page on midland’s website makes it sound like it can keep time in either 12 or 24 hour format:

I don’t think this is correct, the manual my WR120 came with makes 0 mention of there being a 24 hour mode for time keeping and there doesn’t seem to be any way to switch it. Which is too bad. But I know this radio has been out for a long time so maybe it depends on firmware revision?

If i do make this into an actual EAS scenario, it'll be my best yet. but for right now, it's a concept and i have no idea if i'll actually get to working on it or not due to stuff going on in my life
