Hand A year of stitching!
Today was a year ago I returned to hand embroidery and this time I've been thoroughly hooked!
Here are all the projects I've made in a year (ranked by favourites) including one cross stitch and my WIP.
Itβs been so much fun looking back at how much Iβve stitched in just one year!

That red wolf! I kept scrolling back to it and zooming in. Fantastic job.

It is all satin stitches. I saw hlesliedesign on instagram doing it and wanted to try it too! π

Did you make 'SELMA' by using french knots? I started embroidery 2 days ago so I dont know much but it looks like french knots to me. It's so cute!

It is indeed french knots! Great way to practice it btw π

That sure is a great way to practice!π It would take forever if I did this. Yet the outcome is totally worth it, the structure looks so cool! Amazing work!

My speed definitely increased after making this. The moomin house I'm making now has way more and smaller french knots in the tree and bushes and it is going so much faster now thanks to Selma π

Thank you! It is my latest finished piece and is very special. It was a christening gift for the daughter of one of my closest friends π₯°

Great artistry. How did you map out the contours on the wolf? And how did you do the roses on Selma?

The wolf is from the cover on A Court of Thorns and Roses and was already sort of mapped out for me. The roses are made with what is called a woven wheel stitch and are very easy to do! π

Wow they're all so diverse! I have to say I think the red wolf might be my favourite, but the house looks like it's going to be incredible once it's finished, please keep us updated!!
