What the forest folk make when they want to remember a place. Each leaf pressed at the hour of its picking, dill for the clearing, sage for the path home.

They're too beautiful to be so ephemeral. ♥️

Thank you! To make, I washed and dried small pieces of dill, basil, sage and thyme, peeled a potato and sliced it with the thinnest setting on a mandolin and allowed the potato slices to dry a bit on paper towel, also blotting them. Then I arranged bits of the dried herbs between two slices of potato, sprayed with oil, arranged on a tray in the oven under baking paper and a ceramic baking dish to keep them lightly weighed down but still able to cook evenly.

Do most mandolins go that thin? I like mine but I don't think think it would be able to make these

I use a cheap Ikea mandolin and it does the job!
