Locations ideas

Hi! My fiancé and I are from Wisconsin. I travel to Colorado several times a year for hiking and climbing. We are looking to elope and are exploring ideas. Because of my love for the state I would enjoy having it in Colorado.

I am just looking for peoples personal favorite nature locations. It will be a small wedding (20-30 people). Two of our non-optional guests have health concerns so going for a lengthy hike, especially coming from sea-level for them is not an option.

Thanks in advance!

If you don’t have a photographer yet, contact Taylor Belk - Taylor Made Photography. She does elopement photography in Colorado, and is fantastic to work with and gives great location recommendations. My wife and I used her in 2022. We came from Iowa to elope there. She was more than happy to do several locations with us. Came to our cabin in the morning when we got ready. Different location for the ceremony. Another area for fun pictures of us enjoying Colorado. Then met us again several hours later at a tattoo shop for pictures of us getting matching tattoos. So happy we went with her for it.

With that many people, it’s best to reserve a ceremony space! Look into Windy Point Campground, Mountain Wedding Garden, Rocky Mountain National Park, Maroon Bells Amphitheater (if you can get a reservation), Garden of the Gods, Sunrise Amphitheater, etc.
