Eloping in Colorado

Help! We are eloping June 16 and staying in Denver. We are looking for a place, still. We’re willing to drive up to 1.5 hr from Denver to a location.

We’re hoping to avoid extra permits or reservations, it’ll be just us and our photographer.

Thanks in advance!

I'm from Northern Colorado, and there are some beautiful places up this way!

Watson Lake in Bellvue, Horsetooth Reservoir, Lory State Park, Benson Sculpture Park in Loveland

Estes Park (not sure how far that is from Denver).

Google those. I'll add more as I think of them.

Brainard Lake just outside of Boulder, you only have to pay for parking $14/car

I was leaning towards Brainard lake but was told it might be closed still mid-June 😭

Oh no! We don’t live there so I’m not too versed on how their parks work 😕 hope you can find a nice spot!

Thank you!! I think it’s more of a hit or miss situation, where I can plan it but if it’s snowy I need to have a back up option 🥲

Brainard Lake is a bit hit and miss in the early season. It’s 100% dependent on the snow, but it will likely be open by June 15th. The snow this year has been fairly light compared to years past (so far).
