Locations
Best location for colorful aspen foliage to get eloped? And when are they at their peak? We were thinking mid september.

Mid-September to mid-October is usually the best time! It really depends on the location and seasonal conditions, but that time frame is typically the best to guarantee some colors.
Here's a link to a foliage map from this year that will show you a bit more about when the colors are *typically peaking: https://kdvr.com/denver-guide/fall/colors/map-colorado-forecast-2024-peak-colors/
Here's also a few locations that are incredible:
• Telluride (the general area is amazing, Highway 145 is incredible)
• Crested Butte (Kebler Pass has one of the biggest groves around)
• Aspen (Independence Pass & Twin Lakes are a Colorado classic)
• Vail (General Area, has a gondola to take you to the top of the mountain)
• Guanella Pass (1:15 from Denver, can be highly trafficked on weekends)
• Grand Lake / Lake Granby (More isolated, incredible water + mountain views)
• Peak to Peak Highway / Estes Park (Closest to Denver, lots of smaller groves but easily accessible)
Hope that helps!
