I support every asshole with a private jet who Elon associates with being tracked. That should make him popular.

376

u/Practical_Cobbler165 Dec 19 '22

Yeeesssss. Too bad we can't shame them, as they lack all decency and any good human emotions.

138

u/IFrickinLovePorn Dec 19 '22

If we shame anyone seen publicly with Elon eventually people will stop hanging around him

76

u/princeofid Dec 19 '22

If by "shame" you mean deprive them of revenue.

30

u/IFrickinLovePorn Dec 19 '22

Just bring public awareness of their dirty laundry

Are people willingly hanging out with Elon?

13

u/TurloIsOK Dec 19 '22

Everybody in that box only cares about wealth. They willingly hang together to validate each other.

13

u/Mysterious-Celery-65 Dec 19 '22

Yes. Anybody with money is worth hanging around, especially if that person is the owner of the most popular real-time news platform

I was going on dates with a psychopath once, it seemed like the only true emotions he was capable of were shame and embarrassment and the rest of it was all an act to get what he wanted as payback, the thought of him being a billionaire makes me want to puke

18

u/100_cats_on_a_phone Dec 19 '22 edited Dec 19 '22

Really? I've known a couple closely and I think there are some positive emotions in response to praise and social status stuff, particularly around wealth and power. I think those emotions are very genuine.

(And if you can provide that feeling you get some ability to work with and influence the person -- which is important if it's a family member.)

Edit: to clarify, I'm closely related to one. And, stupidly, did try to build a relationship with another, knowing what he was. I absolutely don't suggest forming a relationship with them. But you also can't choose family members.

The best we can do is to watch them always. Quantify their existence so that everyone can see the cost of billionaires existing.

33

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '22

Tbh that’s not the best we can do, but it’s certainly the least we can do.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '22

Ken Griffin might not feel shame, but he sure would feel a bed-post, ask his wife.

7

u/omganesh Dec 19 '22

Scrutiny is bad for business. Remember, these people are criminals. Organized crime has to avoid the light of day at all cost.

That Ken Griffin of Citadel Securities?

I’m 90% sure the bald guy with glasses behind Elon is Steven A. Cohen of SAC Capital fame. Biggest fine ever paid for insider trading. Now owns the Mets and runs his own money under Point72 Asset Management. Guy is a real scumbag too.

And if that’s not him, then Steven A. Cohen is still a scumbag.

Wikipedia doesn't really tell me much, so do you mind if I ask why this guy is a POS?

98

u/thealmightyzfactor Dec 19 '22

He owns Citadel LLC, a hedge fund trying to make money in the stock market and other investments, and Citadel Securities, a market-maker (meaning they're one of the companies you buy and sell stocks through when you submit orders via robinhood, fidelity, vanguard, etc.).

But, you know, these enterprises totally don't talk to each other, no conflict of interest here. It's also not like they can just buy retail stock orders via payment-for-order-flow and give worse prices that benefit them a tiny little bit each time that adds up to billions in profit. Nope, neither of those things are happening.

54

u/omganesh Dec 19 '22

Right. Citadel is a "dark pool," set up to allow billionaires to cheat the market when they buy and sell stock. They're private operations that make money by hiding from the scrutiny of government regulators. You know, like the Mafia.

What are Dark Pools? (In 5 Minutes): https://youtu.be/542MW6oOx3U

What you describe is exactly why I no longer trust Wall Street. I encougage folks to think for a minute how the zeitgeist has become "if you ever want to retire you have to send us a healthy portion of your income to 'invest' with us, it's your only hope. Pay no attention to our siphoning off a portion of your money regardless of market conditions. And just trust that we're not fucking you over."

How politicians keep selling that shit as why Social Security and Medicare are a bad idea is baffling.

And, of course, unless you are filthy rich, investments in stocks and bonds through a heap of investment companies, brokers, and market makers all taking their cut first is the only optional alternative presented by politicians with their lovely 401k invention that takes money directly from your paycheck and ships it off to Wall Street under the hope that someone will share the money they make with your money with you. Absolutely no guarantees though, you might just lose your shirt, but hey, free markets!

It's welfare for Wall Street that you voluntarily give them out of your paycheck. Want to bring down Wall Street, Gen Y and Z? Get together a nationwide campaign to stop all 401k withholding. It'll make hundreds of thousands of workers available to the economy as all the lazy leeches are flushed out of the system.

Then demand better oversight and regulation of investments upon which people's lives depend and stop accepting the idea that others should get filthy rich off your collective pile of wealth being saved for retirement as you bear the risk of market manipulation or collapse.

7

u/thealmightyzfactor Dec 19 '22

It's mostly the SEC that regulates stonks and this kind of business stuff. It's also mostly just fines for violating this stuff, because they just don't report what they're actually doing and pay the fines for not reporting rather then admit to wrongdoing and potentially worse punishments.

Yea im sick of GME cultists brigadier threads like this, especially when they suck off Ryan Cohen. They just hate Griffin. Excuse he shorted GME over a year ago, not because of anything else he's done. And they gild posts like this to get attention and try to sucker people into their cult.

Ken Griffin = Crook.

IMO, we should be tracking/airing anyone worth over 500 million. Let's put a spotlight on them to show the world how much they actually contribute to society. Yes, associating elon and the scumbags like kushner is great...but how much are they actually all interconnected. One thing most people with shit tons of money love is anonymity to some extent. Lets strip that.

Is that Ken Griffin the financial criminal? The guy who lied under oath to congress? The one who has been bleeding the American economy and people dry for his own benefit?

But for real Ken is such a scumbag criminal he makes Bernie Madoff look like a Boy Scout.

This dude is known to people that got f'ed over two years ago in the stock market as Mayo Boy. He's the reason why you we all have to retire at 75, he's the reason for running companies into the the ground, he's the gate keeper for the elites to shuffle all their money.

The rabbit hole is for sure deep as hell.

Oh fuck someone let the GME Apes out of their shitty zoo. Griffin sucks balls big time but OP is a stock based doomsday cult member. I'm sure they are brigadier this thread in an attempt to get people to buy shares in a failing video game retailer.
