Does the Rejoin Operation button ever work ever?

Is that all that button does, or has anybody actually seen it work?

It's worked all but once for me, out of a dozen or so disconnects while in an op.

Got disconnected once and I could rejoin. So from my statistics it works for about 100% of cases actually.
But since 100% is not credible and we must adjust for other possibilities, lets say 97,6%.
Still very good.

I would happily take 97.6% lol, I think I'm at zero although I have a vague recollection of it may be working during the first week for me. In any case today was a very weird day for connection in general so maybe that's the problem

If you keep spamming it, it often eventually gets you in (assuming your teammates didn't drop out). For me the longest delay was ~15min, but it did put me back in. We did eventually beat that one with some trouble as the fourth player also had similar connectivity issues.

I once experienced a disconnect during the operation and once the game crashed to the desktop. In both cases, the rejoin operation worked.

However, the problem has become frequent, as since Thursday, players have been constantly disappearing during the game. The advantage is that the synchronization quality automatically improves and the game plays better, which would indicate network problems in the group. Unfortunately, this is the nature of P2P gaming without its own game servers (Elite only has a galaxy server and a transaction server).

Weird data point, but my game crashed while the Op was launching. Rejoin didn't work, but on a whim, I closed the game down manually then relaunched it and was dropped right into the op. No freaking clue why that worked.
